Id guess it was gake news since right before thr G7 summit he was blaming Obama for allowing Crimea to be turned over to the Russians.

If he believes it belonged to Russia why would be blame Obama? What i suspect is he does think that there is no way to get that back from Russia. And hes right they spent to much money building new base and bridge. And they have to many Russians living there to ever get another vote.

Crimea was TAKEN by Russia during the Obama Administration. Was Obama too soft on Russia?

Regardless of whether Trump said it or not, Crimea has been majority Russian since the 1950's. See the Wikipedia article.

Currently, about 2/3 of the population is Russian, with only about 16% of the population being Ukrainian. Ukrainians have never been the majority in Crimea, and peaked at about 1/4 of the population in the 1970's.

So yeah, allowing for some exaggeration, "everybody speaks Russian" there.

50,000 Ukraine army soldiers in Crimea joined Russia army in February 2014, including S-300 air defense units and 40 MiG-29 fighter jets. That's massive fire power. Even the US don't dare invade Crimea, let alone Ukraine.

Actually, America does not have official language. You can speak whatever language you want. Russia official language is Russian.

And 99% of Ukrainian soldiers in Crimea joined Russian army. Their 40 1980s era MiG-29 were scrapped. Russia uses MiG-29SMT, not 1980s MiG-29.
