It's about time someone questioned all of Trump's illegal and unconstitutional activities. He is so corrupt that even his lawyer Guiliani has admitted that impeachment will most likely come up in the future. Trump has made millions from being the President which is illegal, and originally he said he would divest from his businesses, but he never did.

From your source:

U.S. presidents are barred under the constitution from receiving financial benefits, or emoluments, from a foreign state either at home or abroad. They are also not permitted to receive financial compensation, other than a salary, from federal or state governments.

Cool, so all we need now is proof. Shouldn't be hard to acquire given the zealous resolve displayed in the op.....right?

The guy is absolutely corrupt and his daughter and son-in-law, too

They're in it for the power and money

Amazing, all the dupes who have been fooled. Trump must laugh at his dupes and idolators.

From your article:

The suggestion was raised by U.S. District Judge Peter Messitte while overseeing a lawsuit filed by Maryland and Washington, D.C., over the Trump International Hotel, which is just blocks from the White House, The New York Times reported.

Judge Messitte:

On August 6, 1993, Messitte was nominated by President Bill Clinton to a seat on the United States District Court for the District of Maryland vacated by Joseph C. Howard, Sr. Messitte was confirmed by the United States Senate on October 18, 1993, and received his commission on October 20, 1993. He assumed senior status on September 1, 2008.

What is that point of that? Are you seriously trying to say that any judge not appointed by Trump is somehow not legitimate?
Do you realize how insane that sounds?

Bonus post:

Abigail Kate Messitte and Derek Scott Eller, owners of contemporary art galleries in Manhattan, were married last evening on the banks of the St. Marys River in St. Marys City, Md. The ceremony was performed by the bride's father, Judge Peter J. Messitte of the United States District Court for the District of Maryland in Greenbelt.

Ms. Messitte, 32, will keep her name. She graduated from Amherst College and received a master's degree in art history from Columbia. Her mother, Susan Messitte, and father live in Chevy Chase, Md.

It means that a liberal judge might be opinionated against Trump.

For proof of liberal bias against Trump, I suggest you turn on a television.

As for how insane something sounds, read your OP without your bias.

I wonder why he didn't question the profit Obama made off of his books?

Did he write those books and profit from them whilst sitting as POTUS?

He wrote them before he was President, but did profit from them while being President, especially after becoming President. Trump had his business before becoming President.

Quoted for irony.

Name me a President before this one who didn't do it for the power and money...

Then I will point out that this sitting President didn't actually need either.

Had both already.

Without all the BS slander, libel, constant attacks from the media that Trump has to go through every minute of the day.

But hey... thank you for your never-ending posts on this forum and probably others that continue to turn moderates and Indies into Trump votes for 2020.

Did Donald Trump build these hotels while he was a sitting President?

So by your impeccable logic, Hussein should return any money that he made from his book, or whatever other enterprises he's involved in, which, admittedly, probably are very few, if any, being that his only career has been as a politician, if the person that BOUGHT the book only did so because he was the President?

Maybe a law should be passed to prevent anyone who is elected President from profiting from any business venture that they were involved in prior to being elected to office, like, for instance, writing a book, on the outside chance that some of those books were sold simply because that person was elected to the office of President.

How many books had Obama sold PRIOR to being elected President?

How many have been sold AFTER he was elected President in 2008?

Very well. So how would th

It turns out to be a casual suggestion. A lot of work would have to be done before that became a legal ruling, a long road to travel.

So you think that hotel is operating at a loss? You think that foreign dignitaries aren't staying there to schmooze the president? You really believe this can't be proven?
Oh and it's not up to the OP to prove it. They're bringing a news story to discuss. If there are violations well who knows if the cowardly Congress will do anything when a tweet can destroy their career but it would be in their hands to investigate the claims.

I guess I'll have to wait for Cohen to turn which it appears he's about to.
Then we'll see what McConnell has to say.
The only conservatives with any balls are the ones who are retiring and don't care if he tries to slander them.
