OP, please seek professional help. I do not say this flippantly or with malice. I honestly think you need professional psychiatric assistance. Having poor memory is normal, and nothing to be ashamed of these days. If you do not seek help, I fear irreversible mental damage is not to far away.

Please, seek help, I say this from the heart.

"On the floor" @1.04 sounds so much "like I sure know" @2.07
At 1.21 it sounds like she has never nanced before
At 3.22 its sounds like it if the fitfit becomes the fire.

Now if even the singers pronunciation casts doubt as to the words sung what are we to make of our own memory?

At 59 Marine Jahan still looks hot

Tina Turner singing "Hard For The Money" - enough that Google tries to auto complete it for you.

And guess what - Private Dancer comes up.
Words to private dancer are

I'm your private dancer, a dancer for money
I'll do what you want me to do
I'm your private dancer,
a dancer for money And any old music will do

Donna was great

30 years later still sounds fresh. Synths by Giorgio Moroder
ethereal vocals by Donna - ahead of its time

Pretty bad "construct" when there are so many "artifacts" still around.

If it was perfect you'd be finished before a court of law....hahahaha

A Ministry ME? As in the bad-arse (elderly) band from Chicago? If so, I'm interested and could identify any variances with ease... so me too.

Yeah.
OP said he had a big Ministry ME to post in another thread a month or two ago.
Being the fan I am I felt I'd know 100% if something was out of whack, an authority of sorts.
Been patiently waiting since.
Maybe semi-patiently...

Btw, I always thought it was "she's a maniac, maniac for love"

Nope, pretty sure it was always maniac on the floor.

The ME thing should be renamed to Bad Memory Effect.

100% sure both are unchanged. It should be called the PERJ(h) effect

Person
Erroneously
Recalling

Yeah. For many years, I thought " I'm like a bird" by furtado said " I don't know where my thote is, I don't know where my,home is" but it doesn't.

My family keeps insisting that we had my 14th birthday in Texas, I say it was Fort Walton Beach, Florida. ( lived south of San Antonio, apparently, but I only remember living right beside the beach ).
Now. They are right, I am wrong. This is not a Mandela thing, this is my memory blocking out a place I flat out hated( Texas). But I do not remember ticksass at all.

You are full of surprises PearlJ.
Flashdance and Donna Summers?

I really wish I was mature enough not to make a crack about your sexuality.
Perhaps in another reality.

Looks like the OP has abandoned yet another one of his ME threads.

I like your user name. In my reality it is spelled differently, though.

Was listening to music this morning, and found 2 new MEs..

I remember Tina Turner singing "Hard For The Money" - now its' Donna Summers.

Also, in the song "She's A Maniac", it used to say:

"She's a maniac, maniac I know - and she's dancing [...]"

Now it's:

"She's a maniac, maniac on the floor - and she's dancing [...]"

...and it sounds very weird.

The lyrics do say "I sure know" - that was a build up from "I know" that used to be in the song. Here are the lyrics:

Just a steel town girl on a Saturday night
Looking for the fight of her life
In the real time world no one sees her at all
They all say she's crazy
Locking rhythm to the beat of her heart
Changing movement into light
She had danced into the danger zone
When the dancer becomes the dance
It can cut you like a knife
If the gift becomes the fire
On the wire between will and what will be
She's a maniac, maniac on the floor
And she's dancing like she's never danced before
She's a maniac, maniac on the floor
And she's dancing like she's never danced before
On the ice blue line of insanity
Is a place most never see
It's a hard won place of mystery
Touch it but can't hold it
You work all your life, for that moment in time
It could come or pass you by
It's a push shove world
But there's always a chance
If the hunger stays the night
There's a cold connective heat
Struggling stretching for the peak
Never stopping with her head against the wind
She's a maniac, maniac I sure know
And she's dancing like she's never danced before
She's a maniac, maniac I sure know
And she's dancing like she's never danced before
It can cut you like a knife
If the fight becomes the fire
On the wire between will and what will be
She's a maniac, maniac I sure know
And she's dancing like she's never danced before
She's a maniac, maniac I sure know
And she's dancing like she's never danced before
Maniac, maniac I sure know

Lot's of other folks remember Tina Turner singing "Hard For The Money" - enough that Google tries to auto complete it for you.

Lot's of other folks remember "She's a maniac, maniac I know" - do a Google search for that phrase in quotes - it fills pages.

However, it's always been the way it is now.

Be nice please.

It takes phenomenal energy to jump world lines. THe type of energy that ends planets, even for tiny masses.

Why wouldn't it be simpler to believe you just forget stuff that isn't that important to your life?

Your brain keeps stacks of stuff in order but also does the housekeeping and puts out the trash.

I remember Tina Turner singing 'You hit me hard, honey' in a song about Ike. We had no 'Donna Sommers' but there was a Madonna Sommers.

In my universe, John Fogerty had bladder control problems, so that's why his song "Bad Moon Rising" was about his constant search for the location of the nearest bathroom.

In mine Jimi Hendrix is gay, hence the lyric, 'Excuse me, while I kiss this guy'.

I will abide by your terms of being nice, please seek help for your forgetfulness

This and your Popeye thread I am 100% sure you are wrong, other ME things cast doubt, such as Dolly from Moonraker or Sex in/and the city

It just seems know you are happy to state anything you have forgot is ME, I am not even sure how Tina Turner and Diana Ross are even close vocally, and the other lyric is about dancing, most people dance on the dance floor, thus ther lyric

Please again, i say with sincerity, consider seeing a Dr regarding possible memory loss

Are you basing these claims from your own memory or google searches, which are compiled from other uesrs searches, so if enough people search the wrong thing, google will auto complete that

try typing "why do gingers" into google (which I am) do you think all those statements are true, one that google sugests is "why do gingers have no soul", i am betting someone dated a Ginge and got heart broken, not that in some other universe Gingers are souless.

Not abandoned, something came up Mr Carpy - you'll survive.

When posts start with "in my timeline", or contain "flat earth" (or the gist thereof), I skip 'em..

This thread was meant to talk about the Mandela Effect.. but instead people made jokes, touched on human sexuality, other conspiracies, and mental health issues.

A few folks remembered "I know" over "on the floor".. That's who I'm trying to reach, so I'm happy with that.

I'm happy to talk about the Mandela Effect...

..you'll understand if I ignore the rest.

Most of these are people remebering something incorectly or learning something they didnt know that shocks them. For example most people dont know Elvis Presley had blond hair. As i said this everyone just went no way but its true.

What about all your other ME threads that you simply abandoned?

It is hardly surprising that people make jokes because ME is simply a joke.

How can you seriously not see the difference between Donna Summer and Tina Turner?
