Ha Ha Ha!! That makes DeNiro even more powerful than you, as he is free as a bird!! Would you be able to be free as a bird if you were caught flicking kids pickles? I think not.

I know one person who spends their days attacking others ... Donald J. Trump.

One might also note that the discussion itself is an attack on others ... those horrid little anti-Trumpers.

I'd point out the logical issues with these several conflicting statements ... but it would be a waste of time.

It is sad to see so many caught up in a cult-of-personality at this late date, however.

Yep, but you don't become a winner by giving up when you loose.

a reply to: Plotus

Calling someone a winner just because they voted for him feels a bit off though. Like a participation award. It kind of cheapens the concept of winning.

Wow Les. You ability to eloquently state a thought of yours is very admirable. I hate you for it. jk.
Is that what you are saying is happening to Trump? You may very well be right.

Still, what I wouldn’t give to see a vehement anti-Trumper in the President’s position, under the same level of scrutiny selectively offered by the politically correct establishment and their obsequious followers.

Anti-Trumper's did not even try to stop North Korea from getting nukes. As another thread pointed out Bill Maher actually wanted the economy to collapse to get Trump out of office. I think that the fact that Trump won the Presidency by an electoral landslide was all the push the never-Trumper's needed to go over the edge, and no matter what he does, even if it is a historical landmark occasion, the hate they feel for him is interfering with their ability to think rationally.

See what Stalin and Mao Zedong got up to.

Hitler runs rather a poor third place by comparison.

Yep, all three still better than us. Way more powerful, way more successful at their endeavors. Who are we peons to criticize?

Wow that’s pretty sick. The fact you even condone that type of behavior even a little bit is disconcerning. And then to go on and even admire his ability to circumvent the law after possibly committing such a crime...

Think I’ll have to take a pic of this thread and inform some authorities.

As to logic, well logic is to Trump as oil is to water really.

Is sound through because he knows all the big words.

If you were to compare President Trump to any of the myriad people who spend their conscious hours opposing him, nine times out of ten you’d be comparing the exception to the mean, the legendary to the forgettable, the trophy case of history to its proverbial dustbin.

But we should compare them nonetheless, because one of them lives and is sometimes employed to disparage the other, while the other is out there trying to make well on his promises and do right by the people who elected him, and even those who hate him.

That’s what makes anti-Trumpism so gut-wrenchingly hilarious, but at the same time ironic and pitiful. With the amount of scorn, bullying and hatred emanating from anti-Trumpers, one might expect that they were in some way or another better than the President, perhaps higher up the food chain, more successful, more influential, more powerful, more likely to be a memorable chapter in world history. But given the contrast between their own lives and the life of the man they hate, their criticisms resemble less and less legitimate scrutiny, and more and more the symptoms of an inferiority complex.

Nonetheless they have taken it upon themselves to malign the President in nearly every breath, using terms of ridicule and hatred, all of which seems to happen from a very, very safe distance. This is easy enough to do for someone who will never attain the vast heights of Donald Trump, who will never be in the same position, who will never have the same amount to lose, and most of all, will never be in the same vicinity as the very man they are opposing. It is not a coincidence, but a convenience, when someone makes a life of speaking ill of others behind their back.

I often think of it—given the chance for a face-to-face, would they be able to jeer at the man they vehemently oppose, instead of continually making a show of it to their friends and online? Given that chance, would they have the stones to caricature and dehumanize the President like they do when he isn't around? Perhaps. I suppose an anti-Trumper like Robert DeNiro could, so long as he wasn’t too busy signalling his anti-Trumpism to a cheering crowd of his peers. (I am still unsure whether he is signalling his opposition or desperately trying to remain relevant). But then again, given that actors are paid liars, it’s difficult to separate the man from the act.

Still, what I wouldn’t give to see a vehement anti-Trumper in the President’s position, under the same level of scrutiny selectively offered by the politically correct establishment and their obsequious followers. If he wasn't already a career politician, I wager he would melt under the pressure. In the end he would surely adopt the public/private view approach of PR politics, where every speech, every public appearance, every robotic delivery, is formulated to placate and flatter the masses rather than engage with them.

But, alas, I will never get such satisfaction. There is, however, one trifling thing I can always be certain of when listening to an anti-Trumper, and can always use as a vast well of comedy and laughter:

Donald Trump is better than you.

What a joke. Robert DeNiro hasn’t been charged with anything, no matter what your “news” blog says. Nice try though, but a big FAIL.

Donald Trump is a billionaire. I am not.
Donald Trump is president of the United states. I am not.
My historical footprint will be smaller than Donald Trumps.

But I'm good with all that.

I'm not upset if people are smarter than me, richer than me, better looking than me.

*shrugs*

I'm still a happy guy.

Your 'Blue Boys' mouthboogie is just that. Or are you woman who just have to have the last word ?

We get it .... you don't like President Trump, so petulance is preferable in your case ? Either way your convincing no one, or changing anyone's minds.

Were you creative, you would use what you perceive as you nemesis to your benefit, but instead waste the next six years on futile combat.

We did pretty much reinvent the notion of the modern day concentration camp during our Boer war debacle.

There is that i suppose.

Then there is the fact that we also practiced the art of eugenics right up until the end of the 60s.

Never mind the empire we operated for near 300 years, at its height which was the largest empire in history.

How many people died as a direct result of those endeavors is uncalculable really.

It's not healthy to idolise other people like this ...

It's not healthy to obsessively demonize Trump either but that's still a popular game.

I agree but that's not the topic of the thread.

Unless I am not mistaken I believe it is the main point of the thread.

Who said anything about charges? Maybe you missed the alledged part.

However I’m now more concerned with your glee at the mere possibility he committed that crime and got away with it. Hell a person with your mind set and compassion towards people who commit those crimes is just a tad bit alarming. Maybe a hard drive look by some local authorities wouldn’t be out of the question for like minded people.....

Scary world you live in......
