The thing is so many people whine and complain about these things but no one wants to do anything about it. Eventually you all will figure it out or you will still be talking about how its unfair and no one is lifting a finger to stop it.

Google = private entity. If you don't like it, crowdfund or support a browser engine that values America's freedoms.

The land of opportunity is only in the USA. Take advantage of it.

so in order for me to have the term gun show up in shopping search results i must create a larger internet platform than google

i was right today is idiot day

right in the op i pointed out that google controls basically all of the industry and any attempt to silence any legal products is discrimination by monopoly

So what are you going to do about it? Or are you just going to continue to simply point it out and that's it? It is idiot day, let's celebrate!

well obviously i...
have not thought that far ahead

it seems to me as if the left is trying to sink scotus

they will not stop until a judge agrees with me otherwise there will be no advertising for much on the net

this is not an ordinary problem cause google could care less about this as far as their finances are concerned

google has nwo money and this is a problem local to the usa

step one is to outline what i think the issues here are

Imagine if Google banned keywords such as "privilege' 'oppression' or 'justice'
The entire Leftist platform would disappear.

A judge agrees with you and does what? Forbids Google from doing what they want with their business? How is that going to help freedom, having a judge deciding what people can and cannot do with their own company?

Has this been applied yet? I have options on what browser search engine i can use. I googled gun stores near me.
I got twenty five stores within thirty miles.
Virginia is an open carry stste. You can buy guns in walmart.

i can not answer your hypo until you clarify on my comment of google having a monopoly on the online advertising

understand i am all for the baker not baking the cake if the couple can reasonably get a cake somewhere else

the colo baker did not have monopoly on market

now if it were walmart vs gay couple needing cake i would have seen things differently

i hope that helps to understand my view on discrimination

What comment? That 90% comment?

Honestly. I think gun ads should not be a thing.
If someone wants a gun, they will be serious about it and make that choice in a mature way, to do research and get informed , not be bought by an advertisement. Also, google can do what ever they want, and with the June 11th net nuetraility thing kicking off, it's only going to get worse.

that's right

we need to understand the factors here

searchenginewatch.com...

google has the market cornered on googling

that does not even touch upon googles influence on the online advertising market

not about guns as much as the term guns and online advertising

In the end it might just be boiled down to the information that makes 3d printers work

yep they do not want gun making software out there

they removed the army field manuals showing how to improvise a gun among other things

Not sure when people are going to figure the game out.

It's not some "liberal" running a company.

It's the gov spying and controlling the flow of information, circumventing the constitution by filing for a corporation and calling it fn marketing, on top of it.
Marketing is promoting a product, spying is unrelated.

They aren't the only one. Look at Samsung "smart" tvs.

You mean to tell me our government is ok with our citizens living rooms being uploaded, spied on and sent to a server in Korea?

Bull snip.

Google, now infesting All android phones, google maps giving everyone free military grade tracking gps moving maps.

I wouldn't be surprised if all of the tech companies are all fake.

There are hundreds of other search engines on the internet, Google can censor or uncensor whatever they like on their own search engine. It's like complaining that YouTube doesn't allow porn on their site. There are plenty of sites for porn just as there are plenty of sites to search for guns other than Google.

It's really annoying to see so much faux outrage over meaningless stuff. I'm sure most people who are complaining about gun ads being banned on Google would rather have no ads at all or run some type of adblocker. Don't like what Google decides to do with their own search engine? Go to Bing or whatever other search engine you are free to choose from.

Ok, the start complaining about ATS banning curse words like # and # and #. They're just words after all, right? Why should ATS have the right to ban certain words? Oh, it's because they make the rules for their own site.

do any of those hundreds equate to even 10% of what google is?

nope

it is a monopoly

if you had a business and were using google then google banned you then you would go out of business

no other company can offer even a percentage of what google can offer

i want to be wrong here but i am not as far as i can research about googles size and influence in the ad market

AtS is a blog, it's not the largest gateway to information available.

Moot point.

you tryin to take me back to kindergarten

no thanks

your attempts in this post are way off point

we all settled those arguments long ago

perhaps flip the script and ask yoself what ats would do if google decided to ban terms like conspiracy and such

my point is that google has the power to shut ats down or make them basically invisible to the world

Can't break them up. They're hard wired into the Government Intel agencies.
