Leaked emails written by Banks and his Leave.EU right-hand-man Andy Wigmore – both close friends of ex-Ukip leader Nigel Farage – allegedly show they were in close contact with Russian officials throughout the referendum campaign and afterwards.

Former Ukip donor Mr Banks is also said to have given Russian officials telephone numbers for members of Donald Trump's presidential transition team, just days after he and Mr Farage visited Trump Tower in the wake of the shock US election result.

I would assume if there was anything illegal in these leaked emails that they would be arrested already. But, a nice long media frenzy "investigation" has proven to work wonders for public opinion / perception.

Very true, perception is shaped by the initial reports, the later correction rarely ever matters, assuming they even report on the correction. For them it's all about using insinuations and deceptive word play to convince people of something without actually providing any solid proof. The list of accusations the MSM has made over the last year which have turned out to be false is ridiculously long... yet large swaths of people still trust these corporations as if they were the mouthpiece of god.

No, that was Nazis, er I mean Soros and his federally commissioned fractional voting machines. If they had any proper evidence, it would be all over the British MSM for days/weeks. It's like they are trying to slowly persuade/brainwash people into believing this crap.

There's a difference with having business links with Russia, and having links with the Russian authorities.

The claims are true, the leave campaign has already officially been found to have broken the law multiple times. Russia's meddled in every Western election for years, it's an established fact they admit to.

The Daily Mail are the most right wing, anti-EU, pro Farage newspaper going. They practically made him and have been campaigning heavilly against the EU and called to leave for 15 years. They released a special 5am edition of the paper after the brexit vote celebrating it with the front page 'We're Out' showing a cheering Farage. Roughly 98% of coverage was anti EU reutersinstitute.politics.ox.ac.uk...

The proprietor Lord Rothmere is heavilly anti EU and editor Paul Dacre is famous for giving his 'vagina monologues' to any cub journalist crazy enough not to write anti-EU copy.

Of course Russia meddles and the west meddles in their elections as well, heck once upon a time we sent people to run Yeltsin's campaign.

Amazes me that some people cant accept that the unelected paper pushers in Brussels piss people off to the point they want out of the EU.

Vote leave might have overspent by 700k Shock horror, the vote was rigged!
Remain had a "Why we should stay in" leaflet paid for by the taxpayer at a cost of 9 million quid. Over and above the 7 million limit they were set for campaigning. Nothing to see here.

The saddest thing is that those remainers who are still trying to overturn Brexit by whatever means they can are setting up a precedent whereby the elected representatives can feel free to ignore the will of the people in order to enact the will of "Those who know best".

They are allowing their grandchildren to be ruled, not represented.
This country is finished if they have their way. We may as well be living in some tin pot, third world hole run by a "president for life" for all the good voting will ever do us again.
