Go see which one of these alleged shifting alliances has actually pulled their boots off the ground in Syria or their air from the sky, none of them. The real guage of alliances is where the soldiers are committed to. Yammering on about trade is basic politics. The leaders have to appear outraged, the truth is no doodoo's are given by either side. It's All a play anyways, with a script at that.

With the exception of Japan, all the other countries involved have serious domestic issues, and conflicts to deal with. They are really not in a position of strength when dealing with Trump on trade issues, and he knows it. They will fall in line after throwing a hissy fit.

Usually troop commitments survive international squabbles, as they typically span multiple administrations, and are built on decades of cooperation.

That just doesn’t get old.

I have never actually enjoyed listening to a President before Teump. He is also spot on with his response.

Just read the rest of the article and it seems that the headline is misleading. He did answer his question.

Yes he did. But, he knows CNN is nothing but a propaganda arm for the regressive left. I bet he knows some other things about them, too. Wait and see.

I'd say his reaction fits the definition of "dismiss".

I watched this live. He didn’t dismiss the question at all. He answered it in about 3 paragraphs.

You can dismiss a question, due to the person asking, etc, and still answer it.

The definition of dismiss: "treat as unworthy of serious consideration".

Impossible. He's too stupid to answer questions.

Someone here somewhere said...

Well he's too stupid to dismiss CNN as fake news.

You didn't see what he did there?

I remember here on ATS when almost everyone hated all MSM. MSM should have been banned here as a source long ago.

I sure as hell dont remember those days and I say this as one of the oldest members posting in this thread. Guess we just forget about the US drone program, Clinton email server and other major stories first brought to light by the MSM.

Your attitude is very anti-ATS. You know the whole "Deny Ignorance" thing.

I'll take him seriously when he dismisses Fox News.

The way he did it was quite brilliant... he spotted the tenor of the question immediately and called out the pathetic slimy fake news peddler at CNN to the world.

Except he didn't dismiss the question - he answered it fully and made the CNN fake news reporter look like the slimy fool he is.

I was not correcting you. Just making it known what one of the definitions of "dismiss" are.

In this case, Fox News is correct to say he dismissed the question, due to it's source.

He still answered it, but he did not seem to take it very seriously because it was CNN.

Nice attempt, but major fail! You were so quick to jump on the "bash Trump bandwagon" you didn't even take the time to find out what really took place. Then you make an embarrassing attempt to cover your tracks by posting the definition.

Be honest about it, you didn't know he actually answered the question. How do I know?

If you knew he actually answered the question you would never have said

If the answer is that simple, which it is not, why wouldn't Trump just answer it or move on?

Because of the headline and the OP didn't state that he answered the question. I bet everyone here jumped to that conclusion.
