Pope Francis, addressing top oil company executives, has said that the world must convert to clean fuel, Reuters reports. “Civilization requires energy but energy use must not destroy civilization,” he told the group at the end of a two-day conference in the Vatican on Saturday. He also noted that climate change was a challenge of “epochal proportions,” saying that the world needs to come up with an energy mix that combats pollution, eliminates poverty, and promotes social justice. The pope wrote a major document on protecting the environment from global warming in 2015.

What is the full talk though? Did pope Francis tell them the solution and not only the problem?

As if they don't know it: new advanced sources of energy. Wind, solar panels etc are simply not enough. Humanity has already discovered kind of vacuum energy, Tesla coils etc. They are ready for decades.

Why not Disclosure now? Let the Church say, those devices are not against God rather from God, because they are using the principles He created in first place. Using them to do good to earth created by Him.

Even if it means, those same principles and similar devices built, not just for free energy, could be used to travel beyond Mars. What's wrong with that, after all?

Guess they had a good laugh. While thinking who is telling them that, a man that follows a "religion" that tells the people fairy tales about idols that get angry if you don´t behave like these angry gods want it. From a sect that says it would be against interest rates and lends money to people, which have to pay interest rates to the vatican bank, and so on and on.

Why doesn´t he call his Boss(or his son, was never interested into these fairy tales)? We are told that he could convert water into whine, should be no problem for him to convert maybe urine into gas, clean gas. Or all that microplastic, into clean gas. And the Oil CEO´s would just be history. But either the pope lost "gods" number or "god" isn´t interested to help "his creation", not even once in more than two thousand years.

Even if it is right what he said, guess the robber barons just laughed about thim, behind closed doors.

Follow the money as it winds its way from this one to that one, from this initiative to that one, from this foundation to that foundation, and right into the Vatican's coffers. Yes...follow the money to their "mouthpiece".

Let's see, an increase of about 6 billion people since 1900. that means an increase of live stock to feed these people as well. People and live stock breathing non-stop for 120 years - oh and the fertilizer that is made from coal, oil and natural gas to feed these people. Maybe the answer is birth control or responsible breeding. Maybe he could tell the Muslims this (stop breeding so fast) and see how they respond? How would that go down?

I wonder what Vaticain Cities carbon foot print is. Maybe they could lead the way by making it a zero carbon country, which would be a major bragging rights because of their heavy industry! How many power plants or steel mills are in Vatican City BTW?

I agree with him to some extent but it is easy to say some things when not having to institute the changes. The idea is probably right in some aspects but it seems that better use of some fuels may be a better answer.

The World requires people stop dressing up in costume and claiming to be Jesus while raping your converts left and right for $.

Catholics used to try to convert people to their religion now they want people to convert to clean fuels. You just can’t keep the church from meddling in our lives.

The mouthpiece who speaks on behlaf of the 1.2 billion people who believe he is a voice from above.

If they care about the opinion of 1.2 billion people whom the Pope has tremendous influence over I suggest they at least pretend to listen.
