MJ or whatever you want to cal it is good for the mental health of those that seek peace in their mind of thoughts of uncertainty. In Thailand during the Vietnam war I know that most thai sticks were laced with opium thanks to the CIA in Burma. Believe what you want to believe, but pot is good for most people.

So, point of fact: Obama had already done what Trump's admin has undone and so currently, he's actually running a net negative.

Or, Trump appointed someone who wasn't interested in ignoring the law for political convenience, and is now discussing the appropriate method that actually gives due respect to the power of the legislature.

Not sure how you see a greater positive in the "yeah, sure, break the law, we promise we'll turn a blind eye for as long as we find it convenient to do so, wink wink nudge nudge" approach.

The removal of the federal Ban may not be in support of legalisation it may be in support of official recognition as a medicine...which changes everything but keeps MJ available to everyone who is an adult who requests it from their Doctor as a prescription-on-demand.

trump says he supports stuff and doesn't follow through. he also says he supports stuff then later denies it, then later might say he supports it again or is now opposed.

trump says a lot of stuff. i'll wait for him to DO something before i get too excited....

Good for him. Until the 20th century, regulating chemicals (or firearms) was entirelly unheard of and ludicrous.

The government has no right to regulate any such items, simply because the Constitution doesn't give it any such power. Therefore, any ban or regulation or these items/substances is a usurpation of power never explicitly permitted to government.

Time to take the "liberal democracy" part out of our government.

You're mistaking him for Hillary (who was never a President) and Obama (who was a "'" President "'")

The problem I have with this news is Trump's lips were moving.

He tells four lies a day on average. Why bother listening to him?

Makes sense. There's little downside to this.

YAWN. Talk is cheap. Trump's always said stuff like this. Then he goes and appoints people like Sessions, and lets him point all his federal prosecutors towards War on Drugs of old type BS. Not unlke how he says America First, enough with BS wars, then appoints freaking Neocon John Bolton to go stir up snip.

Meanwhile, as we approach 3/4 all states taken active measures the Big Story should be how is basically a de facto constitutional amendment already.

Instead the "liberal" MSM (and the non-Liberal MSM) keep US screaming for blood with Iran, NK, etc. And trump the 'genius 420,420D Chess Master' keeps marching US to their drummer.

HAHA...

As if Jeff Session was a principled man! HAH!

Nah. He's got a tingle up his leg for private prisons and wet dream fantasies over seizing migrant children and imprisoning those trespassing asylum seekering parents of theirs!

GTFO with the weasel terminology. Everyone seeking what is from their perspective a welfare utopia isnt seeking "asylum".

This latest in Democrat jingoism isnt unlike Dubya & Friends calling it "Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF)" (aka "Operation Iraqi Liberation (OIL)".

If you actually understood the "immigration" (open border) issue beyond the way the Two Party + MSM System frames it you'd realize keeping that border open has been far about keeping the street drugs flowing in like ice cream, not helping poor people (ahem "refugees" LMAO) come work and pay taxes and keep Social Security viable [and nevermind mind the unions liberals supposedly are all about].

An ICE spokeswoman told Reuters five federal prisons will temporarily take in detainees awaiting civil immigration court hearings, including potential asylum seekers, with one prison in Victorville, California, preparing to house 1,000 people.

A new agreement between ICE and the Justice Department makes about 1,600 prison beds available and is expected to last 120 days, giving ICE time to secure more space for detainees. It comes amid a crackdown by Attorney General Jeff Sessions on both illegal border crossings and people seeking asylum.

Obtaining Asylum in the United States

To obtain asylum through the affirmative asylum process you must be physically present in the United States. You may apply for asylum status regardless of how you arrived in the United States or your current immigration status.

A defensive application for asylum occurs when you request asylum as a defense against removal from the U.S. For asylum processing to be defensive, you must be in removal proceedings in immigration court with the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR).

www.uscis.gov...

Trump's DOJ, AKA Jeff Sessions, is sending asylum seekers to federal prisons while they await judication and putting their children in detention camps. So no, I don't think that Jeff Sessions is a principled man who will quit over legalized marijuana.

A couple articles using the word doesnt legitimize it.

Neither does some details about the process itself determine who is or is not a "refugee".

Thank you come again.

If Donald did not lie so often, like every single day, I might pay attention to what he says. His actions don't match his words though. Sessions would not be the first pick on anyone wanting to legalize weed.

Who said anything about refugees? Are Trump and Session putting refugees in federal prisons too?
