If you don't know, Alphabet is the company that owns Google. They've had their share of controversy, particularly when it comes to social issues such as diversity. It's no secret that Google and Youtube actively engage in activities meant to promote liberal ideology while suppressing and censoring others. Demands for diversity and equality have reached the top of the ladder, however, and now the executives want nothing to do with it - even going so far as to oppose studies on gender pay gaps within their company.

Proposals by shareholders and a group of Google staffers to tie executive pay to diversity goals and conduct studies on gender pay gap have been rejected by Alphabet, Google’s parent company.

“We have a clear policy to hire candidates based on their merit, not their identity,” a Google spokesman told RT

It's always funny how those who push "diversity" the hardest seem to oppose it the most.

You know....whats strange about this is that they seem to escape any problems with the EEOC.

I worked for an Oil & Gas Company, which, being industrial is prone to having more male employees than female and as well, a lot of white male engineers and the EEOC basically set up shop in one of our offices and monitored every hiring decision and had ongoing inquiries about why this person was hired over that person, etc. It was an ongoing, slow motion train wreck for my Supervisor who was called in and interrogated once or sometimes up to three times a year to explain what the EEOC saw as problems.

Why does Google get a pass?

They really know how much BS all of it is. They know that if they say all PC crap is true, they can make more money off if the people who actually believe this crap

They are working in reality
While equal outcome people are working in fanasty land thinking all individual will have equal ability or worse that unequal ability should be paid the same

So support them on this issue. If they have to suffer an 'SS' detachment looking over their shoulder at every move they make, what is in store for we peons?

Perhaps some of these power people will see the light on where this is all going.....

Ha, I had just posted the below in another thread before you created this.

The interesting thing about these large companies that are pushing to get more women and minorities in the sciences are also coincidently the same companies that have a history of paying minorities and women far less money than men. So they push for women rights to distract from the fact that they have been the ones screwing women over with their pay negotiations and flood the worker pool with workers willing to get paid less .

Is it because Global Corporations are really good and care about doing what is right or is it because they want to flood the market with more workers to bring down the pay. Keep in mind these are the same corporations that have no problem with using Chinese slave labor.

Yeah, pretty good tactics...get everyone else competing embroiled in the huge labor % that comes with "equal pay" reducing profit and growth potential, thus opening up a bigger playing field for them with the higher skilled, motivated by better pay sharks.

Hmm like any thriving company does.

Diversity is total b.s.

Technology its mostly Asian and white men with much smaller numbers for other races and sexes

Know why?

Because Asian men and white men tend to naturally gravitate towards these topics and other people don't

Get over it

IMHO you hire the best person for the job regardless of ethnicity-you do your job well and you will be rewarded.

This fake divserity stuff is exactly like feminism

Now we have a bunch of miserable women CEOs wishing they had families but due to being brainwashed by feminism they thought that being a mom was less valuable than being a money making machine, which leaves almost no one as happy as they thought it would

Go figure... Chasing some false money god over having solid core values such as investing time into your family and community leave you less happy

Big surprised

Now let's force a bunch of black people to get tech degrees because it offends some rich white liberal lady on Portland

Genius

Add to that: People will work for what they are willing to be paid. Why is it someone else's fault that you're willing to work for less?

I wonder if they ever thought that their willingness to work for a lower salary blocked a fully qualified person who was holding out for a higher wage.

A dirty little secret is that the vast majority of women hate climbing the corporate ladder and regret getting on that train. They focus on their careers and get into their late 30s and early 40s; start having issues conceiving; either still single or divorced and regret ever falling for that BS about women climbing to the top of the corporate ladder.

How bout people get jobs and commensurate wage based on their GD qualifications instead of the skin color or sex ?

How about we STOP pushing RACISM and SEXISM?

This is a good thing.
I see know reason to dictate wages based on ones colour, sex or sexuality or any other characteristic. The only important thing is value. People should be paid what they are worth to a business.

I see both sides of this issue. A company can improve diversity without sacrificing quality.

What actually happens at a lot of these companies is that they get insular in their recruiting, so they never actually see/find qualified candidates who might help meet diversity goals.

I worked at a top management consulting firm. I was the first black analyst in my office. One of only maybe 25 blacks out of like 2000 employees at the time. The company only recruited from the Ivy League and other peer universities. However, they started recruiting at some HBCUs and it helped bring in new talent, most of which were extremely successful. Had they not got out of their comfort zone, they would have missed on on some great employees.

With that said, liberals are hypocrites... they rarely follow their policies when it comes to their own wallets.

I totally get what you are saying about being insular and how that keeps people out of the market.

Its actually a bigger a problem than we think but is it the job of the government to solve thst problem?

If Google is trying to solve a problem of being to insular are they hiring qualified candidates or are they hiring people based on skin color?

Why is nobody demanding equal pay in the porn industry?
Or the modeling industry?

Or diversity in the NBA?

Google, and other top tech companies simply state there are not enough minorities with the talent they need, but none of them actually recruit from historically black colleges, where they'd actually find qualified minorities.

The problem is that black may not want to be coders

Has anyone thought of that?

Nope. I am black and also a software developer and I know a couple of others. There are blacks that are graduating with CS degrees. Companies don't want to hire them.
