There's a new documentary out in which they follow newly elected congressmen whose aim is not to serve other congressmen, but the people. They hate big government, and are not there to be career politians. The documentary is in four parts. Here's part one:

Part 1: Meet the Troublemakers

I can't find the other parts on youtube. They're on facebook.

Part 2: Everything Comes From The Top

Where they explain that there is no possible way congressmen can read the full bills that they vote for:

Part 3: Dirty Money and Backroom Deals

The Lobbyists and their corrupt deals with the politicians.

Part 4 is yet to be released.

I finished the first segment. Most of the posters on ATS are aware of this. It is nice hearing the confirmation of it, though. Yet what is the solution?

Some say term limits. Yet I believe in the old saw that 'every sword has two edges'. A continual stream of freshly elected members opens the door to increased power within the 'professional bureaucracy'. They would have they understanding of the mechanism, not the 'professional politicians'. We would merely be replacing one vested group with another vested group.

I suppose one could look at it as at least there's one less group to deal with?

We get the government we deserve....

P.S. That 'professional bureaucracy' IS the deep state.

One of the reasons why I'm beginning to think Minarchism or even Voluntaryism makes more sense than other forms of government.

Benevolent dictatorship might be an option.
