Yeah, I didn't figure similes would be your strong point.

A.I. bots still have issues understanding figurative speech like similes and metaphors.

I just get to the heart of the matter and don't try to shake off an argument with similes that have no basis to the argument.

I don't watch beauty pageants at all, bikini on or off.

I used to watch beauty pageants because sexy women are fun to look at. Same reason I always watched Baywatch with the sound muted.

Now?

If they're going to turn it into a roundtable discussion on PBS then I'll change the channel.

I never watched Baywatch either and weren't there men on there with rocking bods?

I can't grasp how one can stand behind audience measurement guesswork without actual facts when the methodology is so flawed.

Yup. It's clear that you don't work in advertising where people stand behind demographic data with billions of dollars annually.

You're just being obtuse now!

Television demographics today are laser specific. They know exactly who watches what, every minute, of every day. Right down to the person just about. They know what gender watches, when they tune in, when they tune out. They know exactly whether men AND women are watching and when it's just one or the other.

How do they do it? It's a science, and it's BIG money...and it's very specific.

Don't be foolish!

I am never foolsh. They really don't know who is watching unless they do specific polling (specifically gender, age, and reason for watching), which they do not. Show me some evidence as to how you arrive at your stance.

The Nielsen ratings people actually called me on the phone to try to recruit me. So I know they are real. Google it.
Nielsen ratings

Since viewers are aware of being part of the Nielsen sample, it can lead to response bias in recording and viewing habits. Audience counts gathered by the self-reporting diary methodology are sometimes higher than those gathered by the electronic meters which eliminate any response bias.

Critical of Nielsen ratings? Then you admit they exist? And at least 10 of your comments are complete BS? Evidence.

Oops! I should have known. My mistake.

You're like a non-spectator who isn't in the stands at Wimbledon, yet still complaining that it's unfair that the players are "forced" to use a tennis racket. OMG! They have no choice!

It's more like complaining about athletes kneeling when you don't even follow that sport.

Thank God we don't live in Victorian times getting all giddy due to an ankle.

OMG WOAH! I had to magnify to 180% to see that sexy ankle! She is lookin FINE! I'd finagle that one! Yes

This needs reported because porn! Where's that feminist when we need her?

What, there's a feminist here on ATS? What is a feminist?

Another one flew right over your head. Maybe you're just a hater. And you just gonna hate.

Or you are clueless as to why they are kneeling and so being confused annoys you.

There you go. Apply that to your argument and you will get the answer everyone is trying to impart to you.

I'm surprised this is still a thing. Who even watches this crap anymore? Society has evolved past this inane competition.

Bull pooky.

Hot babes are still hot babes. We aren't "evolved". We aren't "enlightened".

Yeah but we came up with the internet.

Social evolution.

There you go T&A gallore, no need to watch or comment on what beauty pageants are doing, now is there?

Comment brought to you by the same thinking that wants to ban cheerleaders.

You mean progressive thinking and commenting to show you where to go to see cheerleaders, bikini clad women, victoria's secret underwear on models and porn? You should be thanking me/us.

WTF am I reading? Does this make sense to anyone? "show you where to go to see cheerleaders, bikini clad women, victoria's secret underwear on models and porn? You should be thanking me"?? Anyone?

The answer I am getting here is that there is a rejection of women defining what women deem as beauty within a beauty pageant. That is what I am imparting to all of you. Get used to it, because the times they are a changing.

Pick a company. Covergirl, Maybelline, or any of the other cosmetic and beauty product producers that purchase advertising time slots during the pageant. They're publicly traded companies. If you really cared you, then you're free to research it on the very device you're posting with.

Gang stalking won't help you now. You have the whole internet to go search out that media. As for beauty pageants, no more T&A.

So you have no evidence to post, thought so. Guesswork and assuming as usual. Just noticed that viewership of the pageant is and has been steadily decreasing so it's strange to me how their returns off this show were of any consequence.
