Facebook is changing the way you see your news !!

Now they're controlling what you see first with their own recommendations designed to influence your thoughts and the way you see political Marxisms and Social Democracy !!

And of course, they are doing all they can to keep the sourzes well hidden.

Progressive control 1984 is here !!

Facebook to Replace ‘Trending News’ with ‘Breaking News’, Limited to 80 Undisclosed Publications

Facebook has announced the end of their controversial “trending news” feature. It is to be replaced by a “breaking news” label that it is testing with a select group of 80 publications. Facebook has not yet said if the feature will become available to all publications.

Facebook said they will replace trending news — the list of “trending stories” that appear in users’ sidebars — with three new features, one focused on breaking news, another on local news, and another on video.

Facebook indicated that they will discriminate against sources the platform doesn’t deem to be trustworthy, saying the system is designed to keep users informed of “timely, breaking news” while “making sure the news they see on Facebook is from trustworthy and quality sources.”

Having an account on Facebook is a choice. Everyone has the ability to choose whether or not to accept what facebook changes. It is regrettable that the trends have gone full 1984 but no one has to accept it.

It sucks but I mean you got options haha.

In soviet Russia face book uses you!

I vook farword to your comment comrade. For Stalin!

Who the hell uses FB as a reliable news source to begin with?!?!?

In a 1984 world social media didn't even exist.

I wonder what percentage of Americans have an active Facebook account?

I think it's probably fairly high. 75% maybe?

I have an account, but "friends" are a majority relatives or actual friends. I also only access FB about once per week at most.

I wonder how typical my usage is.

Facebook controlling the flow of information isn't anything new. They are going to do what they want to push their Progressive agenda. Unless we want to legislate neutrality which is a bad idea we simply have to put up with their liberal bias.

That being said I don't use any social media so none of it affects me. I would venture that ATS has a relatively low percentage of Facebook users.

Facebook, Twitter, Google, MSNBC, CBS, NBC, ABC, PBS, CNN,. . . .

All agencies with an ideological agenda.

Stalin, Marx, Mao, are laughing their asses off.

Hillary desires to be overlord and master of FB above all else when asked. This right here is a reason.

Unfortunately, far too many gullible people do so.

Not really. Different ideology. Different bias.

But thanks for bringing it up!

Has anyone seen the commercials that FB has been putting on TV lately?
They are trying to gain some trust back , they look like they are trying to hard to make people think that they are going to stop giving out your information.
They come off as BS to me , and anyone who believes them is lost in their world and probably won't make it back to reality until it is to late .

The majority.

You don't get to decide your life based on your own decisions.

Enough people are ok with open source everything, means, now you are part of open source everything.

You don't need facebook to be part of the problem.

It's probably too late now.

1984 can't hold a candle to 2018.

Or what percentage of those accounts are actually Russian . FB keeps sending me notices that many many people and friends want to talk to me . I don't have a FB account that I know about but my son asked what the deal was with my FB account the other day . I think Google gets a name somehow and then runs with it .
