There is just ONE WEEK left to get your story submissions in for the "Lifelong Passion" short story contest.

It has been fairly quiet this month... are our writers (and budding writers) away on holiday perhaps?
Pursuing their lifelong passion for adventure maybe? or a lifelong passion for lying on the beach!

Remember, if you're struggling for a story "hook"... It doesn't have to be about relationships... unrequited love could be a lifelong passion I suppose... but so could fixing up old cars or restoring an old boat... caring for animals... creating street-art and graffiti... following a favourite sports team... standing by your wayward spouse?
Conquering the hills and mountains... supporting a charity... investigating UFO's and cryptids... recording the weather... being in (or following) a rock band... working in politics... expanding your business empire.... and so much more... the possibilities are endless!

You have one week left to enter... what are you waiting for?

There should just be an option in account settings to request writer status or otherwise.

Im still not even sure how the hell you get that, or if it even matters since these contests are apparently open to everyone,(now?). The in place system seems like a temporary one that hasnt been integrated into the site. Anyways..

Hi tad,

My understanding is that you have to earn (or be awarded) writer status.

I believe that you can request to be considered for writer status by messaging the ATS staff/mods (or others can nominate you) for your contributions to the writing oriented forums, or you can earn it by placing high in one of the writers contests (like this one!).

Anyone can enter the writers contests - they are indeed open to all ATS members.
