I'm not going to get into the "how many times must you slap your wife before you're a domestic abuser" conversation. There may be degrees of socialism, but from a purely honest standpoint I find them all detestable and in opposition to everything this nation was formed on. Aside from that, the "how socialist is Bernie" argument reeks of the same type of BS as we hear in the "Well, pure communism has never been tried so we can't say whether it's a failure or not." FACT: the more capitalist examples of nations through history have been successful than the examples of socialist countries have been. The capitalist countries that have faltered have done so following institution of more socialist policies. Adding a little bit of horsecrap into a meal likely tastes pretty bad, so who in the blue hell would think having a meal of nothing but horsecrap would taste good?

I never championed socialism, I have been outspoken about all economic and social platforms, from socialism to communism, capitalism, mutualism etc.

socialism has been horrid in places because it has been state-socialism, socialism as it was described as the "transitional period between capitalism and communism"

that utopic line of thought rest on the vanguard party to abolish the dependency of capitalism and the state until it withered away and then it would abolish itself and become communism, the problem is/was all socialists states have been dictatorship based systems of power who never planned on abolishing anything.

no matter how much you say it, communism, as it was created, has never existed.

I don't think the US is a prime example of Capitalism flourishing regardless of Trump's numbers or not

Historically, nobody has flourished as much as this country did until the socialist policies started overtaking the rest of the system.

Aside from that, I'm confounded as to exactly what it is you do espouse. Opposition to all economic and social platforms... how does that work in a world with more than one person?

Very clever thread.

Note how you start off discussing the "alt right" and richard spencer, then carefully slip in the "right" after that when discussing criticisms of roseanne and other things.

Very shrewd attempt to liken white nationalists like richard spencer with anyone upset roseanne got canceled (of which I am not one of)

Take the recent example of Roseanne. The second it was announced that her show was cancelled there were mass calls on the Right that her free speech was being violated and that she should not be punished for something she said on Twitter. Yet there are numerous instances where the Right has demanded the head of someone over someone they wrote online.

I'll never cease to be amazed by how people shape their view of reality to match their beliefs... for a start if you look at what people on the right are saying a large fraction of them say it's her fault and she shouldn't have made that Tweet. Grambler recently made a thread about how Samantha Bee calls Ivanka a c*** on TV and didn't get any real repercussions for it, in fact she received an award last night at some sort of TV Academy Award show. He stated in that thread "I dont want samantha canceled" and even large conservative YouTubers such as Mark Dice have said the exact same thing, because at the end of the day people on the right believe in personal responsibility so will accept the decision to cancel her show, and they aren't so full of hatred they need to use every little thing in order to destroy the lives of their opponents.

Note that when Jordan Peterson caused swarms of people to criticize Cathy Newman he actually came out to defend her because he felt empathy for her and as a human being he doesn't like seeing anyone be attacked like that. What particular event can you remember where someone on the left said something highly inflammatory and got beheaded by the right? Well I can think of one actually, where Kathy Griffin got blacklisted in Hollywood after that controversial photo of her beheading Trump. The same thing applies to her, she has the freedom to say what she wants but she'll also have to deal with the consequences of her actions. It's quite clear however that Hollywood is biased a particular way so trying to make an argument that it's all somehow worse for the left is laughable.

Exactly! Bingo! You do understand why pinning a few people on the entire group is silly.

If you are not alt right then do not worry. Unpucker your butthole.

No, no, no ... that's not how it works.

We know who we are and what, but you guys seem to be the ones confused. When it suits you, we're all alt-right, but when we ask you what that means, you back up and tell us if we aren't, we don't have to worry.

We want to know what it is or at least, what *you* think it is so we know how likely you are to tar and feather us.

The US is still doing well exporting weapons of mass destruction and nation demolishing/rebuilding plunder et al.

Let me know when the interest accrued in any 1 year is paid off let alone the total debt.

Capitalism you say or Crony Corporatism.

You're a smart man, it aint some pennies dropped in social programmes thats affecting your Nation.

Oh I don't hate. I've actually felt true hatred once in my life. I didn't like it and never want to feel it again.

But that doesn't stop plenty of people from accusing me of hate for my opinions. In reality, I think they hate reading what I think on things, but that doesn't change the truth that when I came to those conclusions and repeat them, I do not feel actual hatred, actually, I feel quite dispassionate.

I wouldn't worry about those people. I've been accused of being "alt-left", hatred or hating Trump because I disagree. Some people, especially the MSM, just like to sow the division for various reasons. And yes I understand about true hatred. I've felt it a few times. Terrible feeling.

Here's the thing though - In today's society, I do worry. Get into the wrong place and the wrong time with the wrong people who are projecting what they feel onto you, and it can cost you a lot -- your job, your family, even your life if you're really in the wrong place at the wrong time.

This is what we lost when we all forgot to simply agree to disagree and disagreement morphed into hatred for too many people.

Are you looking for people to defend Nazis except in so far as they have a right to be Nazis?

Whatever, moving on.
