Did you have a song or an album that was linked with your 'coming of age?' Something that kind of defined you as you were growing up?

It's the song that still sings in your spirit at any given moment.

Kinda funny, but the thread from earlier where we were discussing the breaking of the nuclear family and its consequences got me thinking.

Yeah I didn't really have stable parents. I pretty much grew up with ample lunch money and no adult supervision. I turned out okay I guess, but I feel very empty for it. I often think back and wish I had more from my parents than clothes, foods, and shelter.

I guess the only thing I got from my parents was music. I was either listening to the radio in my dad's truck, or stealing my mom's CDs back in the day.

I think this was the first time I felt like a person, an individual. I felt like I was more than some inconvenience tossed around from household-to-household.

This music made me feel like I was full of light and love. I felt something below the surface.

Yes, And You And I. Even to this day, it brings me a smile and good feeling...
