Boy, I bet them kids that moved to Canada feel really stupid.

Them boys who moved to Canada did not have influential millionaire fathers. If he had wanted to serve his country in safety, he could have been made a quartermaster or surveyor. (He's just too dim for intel work.)

Why do you think the Inspector General is investigating how the FBI handled the case in the first place?

Because they have been ordered to by a weak minded, narcissistic president who wants to utterly destroy anyone who does not flatter him.

So you didn't remember the fact that it was Democrats in Congress that called for the investigation in the first place?! They were just as mad at Comey as anyone else or did you forget that fact?

Guess you're not familiar with the draft?

And that statement about the people who make the memes not having served... that's gold.
You know this because...?

The guys were criminals. Career criminals. Mafia. Henchmen. Minions of the mob. Runners.
What does that have to do with federal prosecutors HIDING evidence that would show them innocent?

Don't #ing use the constitution as a weapon.
You don't even have the basic civics education to understand IT IS EXACTLY THE PROPER WEAPON to protect the people from the totolitarian police state you are cheering for.
Who needs "mah russians" when you people are here?
As to Gowdy, he is playing his part; when the rest of the facts are released the country will see who the actual basket of deplorables were, the former administration.

Each year he was in college he was deferred. He had to apply for that deferment every birthday. Then when college was over his doctor said he had bone spurs.
He also drew a very high number and would never have been called anyway.

Only one medical deferment was obtained. The first four were college deferments.
When the new lottery system was put in place in 1969 trumps birthday came up 336 out of 366 so he never would have been called. When he was in college they were under the oldest men first system.

No not because of any high gpa. You didn't need a high GPA you just needed to be passing. You had to be in college and be satisfactory in your grades to qualify for deferment when he used it. He was in college from 64 to 68. In 69 they started the new lottery system and he was no longer in danger because he drew a high number.

What facts? The IG report?
Why do you keep pretending you know what the report will say?
You only know what you want it to say.

This report was due in April. It's June. Why aren't they releasing it?

Every time he was required to report he brought a doctor's note. His father had influence. If he wanted to serve, his father could have gotten him a posting. In fact, if he were thinking ahead he could have arranged a safe posting, like Bush and Gore got.

Clinton went to crazy lengths to avoid Vietnam, read fact checks, makes Trump look like an amateur in avoiding.. Bush spent over two years in flight training and other things to fill some obligations, but all focused on not going. Obama said...well he once thought of joining, add that to community organizer as whoopee ...lol Reagan state side for 8 years during WWII, how the hell can that happen? 26 Presidents have served one way or another, so that is an astounding low number considering we been at war a good number of our history.

I enter active duty in 1980 and severed until 2008 covering all wars and engagements in that time. In the last 10 years I have still supported and gone back to Afghanistan, Iraq, northern Africa a good number of times. I know 1000s, work with 1000s of current military or prior, and we do not care how many years you severed or didn't serve. Outside of very few it seems the only people who care are those who actually never been in themselves...lol

Oh, and another thing, stop saying "think you for your service" as some kind of programmed statement, we don't like that...save that for only those who been injured, and the poor SOBs that came back from Vietnam to all the hate.

Last point, Richard Nixon served, did that make him a great President...lol It all moot anyways.

Reagan was disqualified from overseas duty for poor eyesight, but his motion picture abilities put him in a unit that had produced some 400 training films for the Army Air Forces.

This is a hard thing to really say one way or the other. We all know that only the poor could not avoid the draft, so everyone that could did so unless they truly wanted to go. Playing football back then would not have been very healthy on the bones, so who knows, I suspect he might have had some spurs but not at the point of truly preventing him from going, but it got him that one extra year of deferment. Slick Willie went to great means to avoid too almost to the level of draft dodging. Kerry went a different path, to use the military as a means to become a war hero ASAP then go into politics as did Johnson, both basically scammed medals they really didn't deserve.

As I said before if we are going to use military service as some measurement of a great President then Nixon and Carter must have been some of our best...

That makes sense, a good number of actors were part of the training and propaganda machine.

Fine but we weren't talking about Clinton. He had his detractors due to that fact back when he was president. Plenty of people questioned his ability to lead the armed services without military experience but he also came out of the draft years of the Vietnam war when people were still hurting from it.

I appreciate your service. I'm from a military family.
My youngest just signed up for the navy. He's going to be in their nuclear engineering school for the next two years before he takes a submarine position.
