If social media wants to really fight fake news. If a news organization puts out a tweet then that story gets retracted. The new updated tweet has to be sent out to anyone who liked or retweeted the fake news story and the new tweet cannot be deleted.

Great idea, but it will not foward the agenda.

That’s not a bad idea..

The problem is that all the BS compilation sites don’t do retractions.. only real news sites do retractions..

Plus you have the fact that if they used disclaimers such as “reportedly” . Then there is nothing to retract.

It was reported that that happened. So they are not lying.

The problem is that there is NO difference between crackpot conspiracy sites that have never once fired someone for publishing a fake story and actual accredited news organizations that employ journalists who get fired for publishing fake stories.

When CNN is considered fake news to some people while newsmax, brietbart, infowars , exc. are considered legit news organizations. Where do you even start?!?!

CNN has proven to be fake news time and again. They clearly have an agenda to push and most people are smart enough to ignore them as a reliable news source.
