All I gotta say is Thank God I was born with the right to think freely in the USA. Good Luck to anyone thinking about taking our freedoms away from us and our huge armed militia.

How about your insecure president calling for media outlets to be closed down because they call him out for his continuous lies? Is that the right to think freely?

We have plenty of freedom of expression, and our politicians don't try to close down media they disagree with.

Oh, and armed militia? You mean people in maga hats with AR15s in the house? Lol.

Robinson is EDL and therefore scum. His views absolutely do not represent the VAST majority of us.

He broke the law and got done for it. There is no debate. It never ceases to amaze me just how much of a right-wing echo chamber this "forum" has become.

That's a silly stance, go and break the law in front of you cops and see what happens.

The authorities are dealing with those rape gangs and if they are not the system needs to be changed to make sure they are dealt with, are you going to tell me that the American justice system is perfect and no criminals ever get away with anything and no innocents are ever locked up?

This is the world we live in now, where people inform on others for nothing more than expression of opinions that they do not share.

Harkens back to the time of the 1950s where people were turning there neighbours and co workers in for being communists for all manner of nefarious reasons.

Sad state of affairs really and not a world anyone should wish to reside within, alas the illusion of security has its price, the better part of which seems to be paranoia and contempt.

Except who did trump jail for reporting that was inconvenient to him?

Oh thats right, no one.

The same people that will call him authoritarian for criticizing the press and taking no action against them are cheering this magistarte locking up a citizen journalist for filming outside of a court house, which is done at near every trial in the US.

Noi I criticize the ameircan justice system all of the time.

Our prisons are a disgrace for example.

However, I can speak freely about any court case I want.

People in the UK can not.

Even if it is thoussands of children being raped for decades, and the authorities treat the victims like prostitutes, and later have to admit that there fear of being called racist kept them from acting and to remain silent...

You can still be jailed for speaking up in an inconvenient way.

And if a judge tells you you cant discuss a man jailed for speaking up in this way, you will shut up and remove your articles on it.

Because the UK does not have freedom of speech.

OK that's reasonable, unfortunately for us peasants the law had always been an obstacle to our freedom, the government use the law to keep us quiet, those of us who attempt to breech those laws are arrested.

The laws were set up to protect government from the people not the people from each other... For example our current world is some sort of corporate prison.

"Because the UK does not have freedom of speech."

Does anywhere really through?

I mean if you start screeming about crap TPTB don't want people to know its not like you cant have an accident or miraculous have paedophilia turn up on one of your laptop or other devices.

If "They" don't want information to be released chances are said information will stay buried. Fact of the matter is that both our nations have numerous alphabet agencies that specialise in such activities.

Mr Robinson just made it easy for them.

Exactly, there were plenty of other ways for Tommy to get his message out, however he chose the dumb ass way....

Worse. This whole brainchild of yours is appealing to authority whilst you claim to fight it.

I said if they felt strongly about online posts potentially swaying juror opinions

That's even more revealing. This little fact, that you think people will potentially be swayed easily with a few postings, tells me more about your perception of the people than it states a thing about them. There is zero data to back up your whacky claim and yet here we are, page 16 into the madness.

The ignorance! The density! Fascinating stuff.

I believe in everyones freedom of speech.

But... but... but... with all the potential for swayed opinions, ATSliens clearly pose a serious threat to the international security. Right? Consider me swayed, where can I sign the papers?

Right and what is the evidnece thatb tommys facebook video would sway jurors?

Oh thyatsb right there is none.

I am not appealing to authority.

Those celebrating stopping a persons free speech in the name of not swaying jurors are.

Yet at thye same time, they post things that could sway jurors as well.

It is hypocrisy, and falling back on "well more people listen to tommy than me!" isnt an excuse.

Apparently you are having a hard tome keeping up.

No I dont think an ats post will sway opinion, just like i dont think a facebook video will.

If you want someone jailed because you think their facebook video will sway jurors, you should think twice about potentially swaying people with your ats post.

I am not appealing to authority, they are.

So why did Tommy a) Plead guilty? b) Offer his 'deep regret' to the judge for his actions?

Can't have it both ways. As for the reporting restrictions and the nature of what he did - as the BBC put it -This is not some new form of censorship directed at Robinson. These are rules that apply to us all, equally. If he is unsure about that, he's now got time on his hands to read a copy of Essential Law for Journalists.

He probably said that because he doesnt want to die in jail?

As far as the law, yes I posted the law on page one, and if people atrent careful, they may find themselves arrested for posting opinions on cases online.

And we saw how that law was applied to forcing media to take down articles about tommys arrest.

Some great laws, huh?

In the land of the magna carta, no free press!

Oh but the laws on raping children? Nah, those are no buig deal, theyll allow them to be violated for over thirty years because they dont want to be called racist.

Perhaps it is the heads of the police and politicians that needs to pick up a copy of essential law to see raping children shouldnt be allowed because you dont want to be called racist.

C'mon seriously? That wasn't a thought out post addressing the issues. That was a diatribe. Tommy won't die in jail unless he crosses the path of someone he's pissed off (such is the reality of jail time and it would have paid him to be cognisant of it). We have a multitude of laws relating to rape and the raping of children and they are applied without fear or favour when 'the evidence is there.' Heads of the Police and Politicians have nothing to do with laws applying to rape other than creating law and enforcing law - Applying the law is a matter for the Public Prosecution Service and the Police and Politicians can do nothing if the PPS says 'no trial through lack of evidence as there will be no reasonable prospect of conviction'. Many people, murderers included are walking free because the PPS simply doesn't have the evidence to prosecute. It's not a 'Let's look the other way as we might get called racist' attitude they have. Evidence, evidence, evidence.
