A trial collapses if people know about it? How odd.

The only left wing one in the UK is Grauniad and they haven't even covered it (risk coverage can be used as evidence by th defense in their plea for mistrial).

Evening Standard is edited by ex Conservative chancellor George Osbourne and is as right wing as they come. The reason he's getting slated by every paper reporting it is they actually know the law, the full details of how bad the alleged child groomers are and Tommy's actions will see them released.

Where did I say that? Lost me here.

Perfectly legal to report the case exists, the judges involved, names occupations, adresses etc... of defendents and witnesses, an outline of the charges etc....

However what you can't do is broadcast personal opinion and bias in role of media due to a mistrial. There's a court order on reporting this case at the moent due to high risk to victims and risk of mistrial, which Tommy has broken.

No, your legal system and authorities will see them released.

No, your legal system and authorities will see them released.

Not if they're found guilty , they will be imprisoned if convicted as others before them have been.

NO U.

What you're claiming is even more idiotic and ignorant of law a judicial process than Tommy's actions. Nice to see you support public labeling of a person as guilty when a trial is going on and attempts to influence the jury.

They've put in an appeal for mistrial which starts on Tuesday - given the speed of Tommy being rushed infront the judge, it looks like the court was cleared the second it reconvened because of him breaking the legal requirements of a fair trial and likely they will be freed as a trial can no longer continue due to attention it has got and innacurate sensationalist reporting.

The guys were undoubtfully guilty given the scope of the investigation and ammount of evidence and witnesses involved, they were going down for a long period but most likely walk due to that cretins actions.

Not really , it would go along with other convictions in similar cases that have happened over the last few years.

The evidence proves them guilty or not, not some wanker talking on Facebook live.

That means nothing. This is the same legal system that convicted men for being gay.

In a time when being gay was against the law , those days have gone.

The evidence will not be seen if it is ruled as a mis-trial. Which bit of this are you finding it hard to understand?

Nope, read the law on media coverage of court cases. He broke sanctity and integrity of the jury. People also have the right to be considered innocent until proven guilty in the public eye. Do you support demonisation of people by the media when guilt or innocence has not yet been determined? Doesn't seem likely given your post history.

I agree it should have little impact on the case but the way to revoke the law is to appeal to the AG, not to free child offenders by knowingly causing mistrials of justice.

Yup, the US used to try 'witches', the French and Germans have put animals on trial. There's not a country on Earth that doesn't have an unjust law in its past. I can't fathom how it's relevant to Tommy breaking presumption of innocence laws and the right to a fair trial.

Of course they’re innocent until proven guilty. But this doesn’t seem like a principle we like to hold onto here.

Some of us in the other thread were just calling out those trying to now claim the moral high ground for wishing death or violence in general on Tommy Robinson during his incarceration.

I had to laugh at this.

One word; Trump.

In the US and Europe.

*chuckles*
