It was his comments on Facebook. Here is an article from the Daily Mirror which is aimed at explaining his arrest and conviction in terms that Daily Mirror readers might understand so hopefully any Americans on this thread will be able to understand too:

This is still going on, oh my!! Maybe the Americans complaining about the British law system should maybe go and check out some of the threads about how American police deal with situations when they feel like arresting someone!! Look at a American police officer wrong and Robinson would have been battered and bruised before he even got a cell if this happened in the US!!

Strange that other child molesters in the uk have faced a media circus outside of court without legal issues.

Yeah remember that pedophuile singer garyt glitter? Well he had a trial in the UK in 2015 (not that long ago) And what do you know, there was a media frenzy of stories during the trial, and a littany of reporters and camera men taking images of himn on his way to court.-grambler

There is police abuse in the US, but usually if there is truly unjust abuse, there aren't brainwashed masses defending police brutality.

The Uk just shows its government is unfit and its electorate is unfit to elect its leaders. You need outside domination.

long thread, didn't read all pages.

I watched this.

Seems like 4 hrs from arrest to jail is suspect.

Not for contempt of court, especially when you plead guilty.

Yeah right.

Good luck with your country.

Long live the Queen!

You guys are so screwed.

I think that the US will be there long before we get there, if things like this are happing in your country!!

I think thats what's happening in America!! We aren't defending any police brutality here!! American, Land of the Free....as long as you don't look at a police officer funny, he may shoot you or just beat you!! It looks like you need outside dominance to save you from your own justice system.

In america even innocent cops are being unjustly killed in reprisal. What of the UK? Oh, that's right, people are being sent to jails filled with hostile murderous religious gangs for making antireligious comments online, probably sent to their death for a random online comment, but no one fights back. We have the movie V for Vendetta, but anything similar is yet to happen in modern times.

At least they get to go to jail because of a trail, and not because some cop decides you looked a funny colour!!

And again your mixing up Great Britain with America, It's America that sends people to there death, if they aren't shot before they even get to a police station that is!!

What he was on probation? I heard he asked how far he had to be from court to be legally allowed to film, and he was as far as necessary to legally do so.

Also where was the media circus during this grooming gang trial if there is no intended cover up?

Do not be as lowly as your government. You can show fitness, nature abhors that which lacks fitness.

Did you hear of the bacon muslim mosque provocateur who died in UK jail? Did you hear how they tried to kill Tommy with boiling sugar, iirc?

Most cases, police aren't racists, More than 50+% of all violent crime are committed by black males which are like 5% of the population, or something to that effect if I recall correctly. In many cases they resist arrest or appear to carry weapons. And EVEN SO you are more likely to be shot if you're white as they try to use gloves with minorities due to the 'racism' cries.

But in the UK they let grooming gangs rape little girls of decades, and the media avoids such trials because it makes their government look bad, and then you have voters defending such.

Was there specific reporting restrictions on those trials?

Had the reporters previously been convicted and warned about their conduct?

Were the reporters giving opinions that could prejudice the trial?

What you 'heard' has no more relevance than your poor attempt at an insult.

You should try and read the whole thread as well as others posted about this. Robinson was on a suspended sentence which to Americans is like probation from what I can gather. He was filming and broadcasting live on facebook and had been warned against this whilst a trail was on going before when he was given a suspended sentence.

It's gets very annoying seeing Americans berating our country and it's laws because of right-wing media rubbish, when there own country is going down the toilet too!!

Americas prisons are in a far worse state when it comes to gangs and Britain's are bad enough. Yeah sure, only black youths commit the worse crime, thats why they need to be shot rather than arrested, but Great Britain is sooooo evil!!

and then you have voters defending such.

No one here is defending the scum on trail, it's Robinson's "crusade" that is puting the trail at risk.

Why are there some restrictions on reporting for some child molesters and not others? The other thread indicated live reporting whilst trial was taking place was allowed for other molesters with media circus and all. Perhaps this was restricted because it makes the government look bad?

If a person asks how far from the court they have to be to legally film, and they are still arrested, either there is an error in the information, or there is corruption.

Unless you present a clear and imminent threat to police, the use of force is wrong.

Was it the UK the European country where female police officers were killed in the line of duty? Would we rather have cops killed and not defending themselves?

Because, and this should be fairly obvious, not all trials are the same. There may be different information already public, there may be other ongoing related trials. You seem to be looking for a one size fits all approach and when you can't see it buying into a really stupid conspiracy theory.

You are also ignoring all the other differences given between Robinson and other reporters at other trials.

The reporting restrictions only cover the period of the trial so a clearly not there to prevent the government looking bad.

Well it seems he has been moved on to Leicester Jail which has a V high Muslim population, I hope they keep him safe as is our way whatever the nay Sayers above may say. I will post the Alex Jones update as I do chuckle some when he dramatises in his best gravel tone..

Add Stefan M worth a listen.

Was just looking to post that myself, I wonder if the people cheering his initial imprisonment and claiming oh there is a tiny Muslim population where he went he has no concerns, still think this is an awesome thing.

I know some early in the thread hoped he would get killed or gravely hurt at least, looks like they may get their wish.

Is it irony when one ends up in jail with those that he claims were evading jail for their crimes?
