Here's a great example of the coming Rhodes Scholar blue ribbon award event of the week.

Apparently some Capitol Police were ordered to deliver some key evidence papers in the Awan case (IT workers in the House) to prosecutors.

Instead, they gave everything to the defense !! 😁

This is according to "sources" but it's hard to make up.

Capit ol Police Accidentally Gave Evidence To House Hacking Suspect’s Defense Attorney

The Capitol Police turned over a trove of evidence in the alleged Imran Awan House cyberbreach and theft case to the defense attorneys when they were supposed to deliver it to prosecutors instead, according to court documents and a source.

And hours after The Daily Caller News Foundation asked prosecutors about the disclosure, Awan’s lawyer said he had learned of the forthcoming story from a source on Capitol Hill. TheDCNF had not told anyone other than prosecutors about it.

“The cop came to [Awan’s defense attorney] Chris Gowen’s office with a stack of papers … Then he came back and said, ‘I thought you guys were the other party.’ He was very, very angry. But Gowen made copies,” the source, who’s familiar with The Awans, told TheDCNF.

The Capitol Police are literally incapable of investigating crimes of espionage. They're not built for it. Wasnt this touched upon by Q or fbianon?

Hell...it may be the only way we get the truth. The defense lawyer surely wants the guiltiest of the parties--the politicos--to be eating crow and owning their part in it. They're the idiots that let it happen---paid for with our money.

Awan should use the evidence to cut a deal and turn witness against the house.

So, a mistake, or a way to tip the scales of justice? Seems a bit off that it would even happen....it is not like the prosecuters and defense attorneys have the same name and address.

I agree. We're supposed to believe it was a snafu? More like making sure the right people got the information to protect the guilty (DWS).

This is weird... but in the end, the Awans and their lawyers would have gotten the evidence anyway... or at least they should receive all evidence in the discovery process.

So is this evidence that the prosecutors had not seen previously?'

Or is it evidence that the prosecutors were trying to hide from the defendants? (wouldn't be the first time...)

I don't get this either:

And hours after The Daily Caller News Foundation asked prosecutors about the disclosure, Awan’s lawyer said he had learned of the forthcoming story from a source on Capitol Hill. TheDCNF had not told anyone other than prosecutors about it.

So if the Awan lawyer "learned" of the story from elsewhere, is the Awan lawyer saying this didn't happen? Or just that he didn't know it was going to be reported by the media?

This is just a really poorly written story I guess.

LOL, that would be epic. Sure he is a slippery little IT guy, but if he spilled the beans on why he was allowed to do the things he did, it may shed some light on the rest of the slime that needs to be cleaned up. Might end up a good thing.
