Is your uncle your aunt? If so you would have quite an interesting family situation.

we could sit here and detail 10,000 what if's and probability scenario's and give ourselves 1 million reasons to fail but I don't do that

You would really love Europe.
They pay loads more taxes for their free healthcare and whatnot.

Well you need a plan of action that covers all bases and the situation with the dump or a a large corporation polluting a river is a prime example.

Do you believe all goverment regulations of the private sector are bad? Some are bad but we need some to protect the public?

I'm just trying to see what you are proposing as a solution that's all.

Everything has a cost. Like Obamacare, now the only people who can get medical services are homeless/ poor and rich.

Everyone else in the middle is screwed.

For you specifically or for the nation in general?

If it's the latter then what is your plan for success?

Everything has an inherit risk/ reward mechanism built into it.

Keep looking for reasons to fail and you will keep finding them.

People have forgotten the power of a general strike.
If we know what we want and are willing to suffer a while to get it we can make it so.
It's only through our compliance they have any power at all.

Great way of putting it thanks for making more sense out of my rambling.

my words are pretty clear
police and teachers work in service of the public they don't have a right to get paid while not doing that job for 20+ years with full benefits
sorry but pensions are a pyramid scheme scam which is exactly why you can barely get them in the private sector anymore and the ones that are left are on the edge of going bankrupt

I'm guessing you did not go for a job with a pension.Too bad.
Having negotiated a public sector union contract, I can tell you a couple of things. First, pensions are deferred wages. Second, contracts are agreed upon by both sides.
Personally, I'm delighted that my public sector pension is going to keep me 'n the missus from having to eat cat food. That's how I planned it.

then why do we have billions in unfunded pension liabilities?

I don't want a job with a pension I'm not buying into a scam, I want my money in my pocket

I'll invest my own money in real estate and actual products and system i can see, taste and touch that produce a value greater than that of a pension

sorry I don't need daddy investing my money for me, I'm not giving my power away

My UNION group plan has great med. insurance and coverage if hurt on the job.

We need more unions not less. There is power in a united group. Why do you think the GOP is so committed to union busting?

I don't know what profession is but what are your thoughts on automation effecting the power of unions ?

This is something that's growing quickly and seems to loom over the horizon.

It's all about cheap labor for a lot of companies and the cheapest labor around is robots and A.I. bots.
