Progressivism will go nowhere until it untangles itself from identity politics. You can make all the claims in the world that you don't have a Super-Pac or take lobbyist money, but if you're involved in the game of identity politics you're pretty much doing the same thing regardless - or maybe even worse because you are putting society itself at risk. These were all lessons we were supposed to learn as children when reading Fahrenheit 451.

Money is not itself the problem. It is only a tool in the hands of the wrong people that use it for power and control. The same can be said about identity politics. It has basically the same function.

I would throw my support behind a lot of the progressive ideals if they only ditched the identity politics bent. There are a group of people that understand this better than most called the Intellectual Dark Web. It is made up of a lot of different factions, but a lot of them are progressive minded people that understand that identity politics is a cancer that must be removed or else it is going to kill their movement.
