How many physical documents from such an 'black ops' operation does anyone think still exist?

NSA collects it all.

So like they have recordings of phones recording people?

Yup, MI5 and GCHQ were carrying out routine surveilance on russian operatives and intercepted calls from the Trump campaign and Russians, they handed this to the senate in 2015 due to nature of the calls content, six months later a doizen or more European countries came forward with the same and travelled to the USA to present their 'concrete evidence' to the FBI, NSA and Senate Intel Comittee. The US agencies never intercepted calls though.

No idea what is in those calls but it sounds pretty big as MI5/MI6/GCHQ have gone public with the dangers of sharing intel with him (he has a tendency to blurt things out when angry, which is most of time, so highly doubt they mean he'd leak it behind closed doors).

Correct. Trump is attempting to cripple the intelligence assets we count on for our national defense.

Huh how?
By making them talk to and share information with the people that have oversight on them?

The US doesn't have any oversight of foreign intelligence, that's done in each country domestically. I.e - the UK's SIS is publicly overseen by Parliamentary Intelligence and Security Committee and Investigatory Powers Tribunal. Trump has no authority over them, as far as I'm aware he's only calling for US stuff but if he wants the international stuff made public he's going to have his arse handed to him. No agency would share their tools with the US, the hire them out, especially after the NSA/CIA etc leaks.

If that were true, CNN would be leaking it and forgetting Stormy altogether. Proof of Trump wrongdoing against an actual law with Russia is not going to be on their side. They are having a real hard time explaining Steele and treasonous acts against a peoples chosen POTUS from what I have read. Spin it all you want, they got a warrant without a crime and are looking for a crime. That is not Constitutional.

The House will leak unredacted information to the public, endangering operations. If the information is redacted, as it must be, the Trump junta will claim that it is being "covered up."

Leak what? They are already pointing out the constitutional crisis Trump is deliberately creating to save his orange hide.

Bloody good point, hadn't thought of it that way. Redacted documents have routinely been met with that response in the past and there's been over a year of unfounded claims it's a conspiracy by the ''deep state'' to stop the election of the most unelectable candidate in recent US history who was universally expected to fall at the first hurdle by his own accord.

I doubt Trump would be stupid enough to do it but with the narrative being spun on this who knows.

Endangering Halper?
The guy that spied on the Carter campaign for Geo. HW Bush?
More recently he spied on the Trump campaign.

The old 'protect our intelligence assets' excuse wears thin quickly when the Congressional committees that are cleared to see the classified information are denied.

Leaking has been from the left, currently allied with the enemy... the CIA, FBI/DOJ.
Yeah, I said it, those organizations are the enemy of the people right now and that needs to change.

Yea! sure they may have fractured a few laws, here and there, and they may have used their positions to attempt a soft coup against an elected President, (but he was orange and I don't like him, so it's all good) but they need our protection, love and understanding. If they get away with this, they promise not to do stuff like this anymore.

Oh, how the mighty have fallen.

Europe is involved in widespread surveillance on Russia, NATO relies on this and the countries rely on it to stop spying, money laundering, major crime, terrorism, election interference and to provide intelligence and national security. There'd be hundreds of agents and sources involved and Russia has a proven track record of killing double agents/defecting sources.

That whole monitoring structure has been in place since the late 60s. Trumps associates and campaign just happened to arrange meetings with some of them. It cannot be allowed to collapse because of US domestic wranglings.

As you rightly point out the left have been involved in the outing of one Russian informant so far, Natalia Veselnitskaya, the partisan statements from various heads of agencies in the US are muddying the waters too. The Trump admin haven't helped by deliberately misleading hearings and having to retract given evidence. Hopefully a more sensible, mature attitude from all sides will emerge and they don't torpedo the entire European-intel system the US also relies upon.

Not sure what makes you think CIA/FBI/DOJ are the enemy - they're just checking it out and seeing where it leads. Obama had the same thing with land dealings he was involved with, no one batted an eye then, Trump is just having a paddy is all.

I am stunned there are so many people on a "conspiracy" website defending government agencies. Didn't the patriot act and the ic used to be the bad guys??? Guess Obama changed all of that eh? Or was it Trump winning the POTUS?

Had any of this been used against Obama there would have been hell to pay.

Funniest line I have read here in a loooong loooong time. "Just happened to".....yeah those "coincidences" happen in the ic world all the time.
