Breaking news is coming in that there has been a 6.9 earth quake in Eastern Indonisia,

No links Yet as this is just breaking,

So if anyone can find any info please post here,


This is not the part hit buy the tsunami, there also reporting that this is in a tourist area. it was about 9am in the morning there time.

The place affected is Sulawesi said to be a very popular destination for tourists known for its diving and waterfalls,

There is mass panic but no injury’s reported yet,

News is saying that this Quake is big enough to cause injury and possible structural damage

THat area has been shaking all year, this one happens to the biggest one so far. No reason for there not to be anymore and there is always the possibility of another huge quake when an area has been shaking so much.

Quake Causes Panic in Indonesia's Sulawesi -Radio




It said the earthquake measured 6.9 on the Richter scale, large enough to cause casualties and damage, although there were no immediate reports of any deaths. The tremor follows a massive earthquake off Indonesia's Sumatra island on Dec. 26 that triggered huge tsunami waves that left widespread devastation and loss of life.

There are concerns that this may cause a tsunami as unconfirmed reports that the Tide was also said to have rised 3 to 4 feet,
The quake was an under sea quake,
