After a self imposed exile from visual media due to some rich folk getting married the time has come for the FA Cup , the Sun is shining and it's a perfect day for the end of the football seasons premier event.

Manchester United Vs Chelsea , Mourinho v Conte ... Should be a great game.

I think United will edge it but love to see Conte get one over the sulky one.

Game on.

25 min.
Chelsea 1 Man United 0

Ya know I've tried to watch soccer but I just can't enjoy it.
90 minutes of fast action ending in a zero zero draw.
Lots of people love it but for the life of me I don't understand why.

That pretty much mirrors my feelings on American football except it's to slow.
And let's face it , it's not football is it.

I can handle slow when they actually score some points.
I can't watch hockey either.
Or golf.
It's a matter of taste.....

I guess it's cultural , I have no history with American football or the Super Bowl so don't understand them but football and the FA Cup have been a thing as long as I remember with the FA Cup usually delivering the biggest excitement in the build up and biggest disappointment in the game , rule of thumb is it will be low scoring ... but it's the FA Cup.

Through history and different cultures it seems to be nothing more than that men enjoy playing with balls. I could be wrong but it seems as if that is the general theme.

"Goal...!" Or something...

Final whistle the game finishes Chelsea 1 Man United 0.
Good game , not a classic but good game.
The best team won.
The sulky one will sulk.

good ?

damn it man...your expectations are pretty low.

United fan here...but I slowly starting to cheer against them. Mourinho is a lunatic...he will ruin them. United game is so beyond understandable. So many millions invested...and cant string 3 passes without losing it...

And now...it seems..Pogba will run away...and cant say I blame him.

Chelsea deservedly won.

It was a good game , United lost , the sun was shining and the look on Ashley Young's face as he walked behind Mourinho along the gantry said it all.
FA Cup Final games are rarely goal fests but all in all I found it enjoyable ... and not a single Royal in sight.
Result !

Thats a strrrrrrrrrrrretch mate, good game?

Enjoyable? For some yes, but only equates to a good game for those who found it so.

Anyhow, a cup worth winning is coming our way next weekend.

You'll never walk alone

I hear you mate but the love of the sport comes from either growing up with it or having played it. As any current or former athlete can attest the love comes from the knowing of how challenging a certain sport is to master. In football (soccer) it's watching a defender hit a 60 yard pass off the outside of his right foot, bending the ball in a slowly ascending and then descending arc landing right on the foot of a left wing forward who was in full sprint, who pulls it back at the last second before it crosses the end line then sends it across the middle with a wicked banana curve landing firmly on the right wingers right side of his head as he slams one off the cross bar. No one scores but in those few seconds magic was real and most of the laws of physics were questioned.

This will play out multiple times during a game and regardless if someone scores or not it is the appreciation of the sheer skill and talent level required to do what these men (and women) do on the pitch.

I see the same in Cricket, American football, etc. While I may not have grown up with certain sports I have played most and can appreciate the skill level and talent required to compete at the top levels. For me, football (soccer) is the pinnacle of sports. Well, that, and Formula 1. Those athletes are extraordinary in their own right.
