There is nothin' fair in this world, girl
There is nothin' safe in this world
And there's nothin' sure in this world
And there's nothin' pure in this world
Look for something left in this world
Start again

It's a nice day to start again
It's a nice day for a white wedding
It's a nice day to start again

The fact that the british monarchy call their citizens 'subjects' and 'commoners' prove white privelige exists.

I was touched by Meghan Markle's mother. The tears in her eyes, and emotional expressions she made druing the ceremony. Just such beautiful pride for her daughter.

Giving credit to the crown for creation of the US since they started the colonies is the equivalent of a successful woman who left an abusive relationship and someone goes, "she would have never made it if it wasn't for her husband." It was in spite of our "husband".

I love the term white privilege.

It allows me to quickly identify racists that I should spend none of my time on.

There is no slavery in the Americas or the UK.
That was a long time ago. None of us were or owned slaves.
That being said what does that have to do with this happy couples wedding?
Or those of us who enjoyed watching it?
They are so obviously in love.
It made me kiss my husband.

People just want to rain on everyone else's parade.

You're opinion is a valid one.

However, one thing you cannot change is history.

Is this the topic of the thread? I'm kind of lost because the OP makes no point.
Basically he says we shouldn't watch the wedding because America used to have slaves.

I guess...

If you are lost then let me help you. The OP made this comment.

The same Crown that brought slavery to the colonies

As i pointed out, those " Crown Colonies " are the foundation of The U.S. Canada, Australia etc,

So would he prefer those countries had not been founded because of the evils of The Crown? As i pointed out, he can't have it both ways.

As Americans we shouldn’t give any F’s about any royal weddings.

As far as the topic goes, reparations wasn’t a thing announced by the English so the OP is dumb.

Yes, and I am absolutely against our constitutional monarch, but when I see them looking into each others eyes I see deep love, and it makes me smile.
I like Harry anyway, he served on active duty and he cares for former service people.
I struggle badly with the whole monarchy thing but this was the best royal wedding I've ever seen, the US influence, soul music and a passionate preacher absolutely nailed it.
