Listened to coast to coast this morning on the way to work. I nearly died of laughter. The best thing I have heard on radio since the days of Phil Hendrie's show in his prime.

George and his guests are great at playing it straight without breaking into laughter. They can go on and on about the most mundane details of researching Bigfoot and Aliens and whatever. The delivery is priceless. That guy is a comedy genius and his guests and callers are wonderful as well. They must rehearse for hours and pre-recorded the show. I am now addicted.

Why denial? Can you think of a better dead pan comedian? Even Bob Newhart was never even close to George. I would love to know who you think is better. Or maybe I got lucky and the first show I happened to hear was his best. I guess that's possible.

They went on for 15 minutes about what cameras and traps they used on Bigfoot, every possible detail. Nobody even broke character for a second. It was glorious.

Oh, oh, oh and then "a caller" called in and said nobody has found a Bigfoot body because they are metaphysical dimensional creatures and all of them played it straight. At that point I spit my coffee all over from laughter. Made my morning.

So you don't even understand that one of
the common anticipated concepts used to
explain the bigfoot phenomena. is that they
are transient wanderers between or in n out
of dimensions?

See partner if George was laughing
under his breath at these people who
come on, call in and even produce the
show? He wouldn"t last five minutes
behind the mic.

That's why denial

It's so damn funny when George asks the same question the guest just answered because he pretends he isn't listening.

Comedy gold!!

Another thing that is so funny George does is wait until the guest is about tell the most important part of the story, then he changes the subject entirely.

I'm laffin my butt off just thinking about it.

The world needs more people like this. Something to take the dread away from the enduring endless trivial pain of simply, being here.

Yes, George has masterful timing. The way he can play the part is brilliant. Like when the caller said Bigfoot was interdimensional George sounded like he came from a dead sleep and mumbled something in a totally disinterested tone like yeah some people believe that. It was a subtle way to tell the caller that he was bat crap crazy, that's just part of what makes him a comedy genius. The subtlety.

Nah, the award for the best deadpan comedian would probably go to Steven Wright.

As for George, he's not nearly as good as the man he attempts to emulate (the late Art Bell). I'd listen to classic Art Bell broadcasts over live George broadcasts any day.
