Since only a few PP locations provide abortions, does this mean only those locations will stop receiving federal funding? Or will it be all locations?

Abortions aren't being funded by federal dollars. Medicare and Medicaid don't cover them.

I think the problem people have in understanding this issue is that you do HAVE the right to an abortion, but there is no right to a FREE abortion.

I hear about it all the time, I have yet to meet anyone who said they had an abortion because they were going to die. I have however met many of them who, "did'nt want another kid".

Not saying that they don't exist, but I'm saying its not nearly as prevalent as the pro-choicers would have people believe.

It's a fact that more welfare dollars go to Conservative states. It's also a fact that people in rural communities rely on clinics like PP more than people in urban centers where they have many more choices. Ergo, poor people living in rural areas, which is part of Trump's base, will suffer the most of PP gets defunded.

Just look at what happened when Pence defunded it in Indiana. The HIV rate in rural areas skyrocketed. I think it's pretty dumb for Trump to want to kill off his base but he's the boss, right?

No they don't. They get federal funds through Medicare and Medicaid that reimburse them for covered procedures. Abortion is not a covered procedure. In many cases they're lucky if they break even when they get reimbursed.

By taking away federal funding from PP what they actually mean is that Medicare and Medicaid will no longer cover procedures there.

PP doesn't just get a lump sum from the government every year. They're federal funding comes in the form of reimbursement through welfare programs. That's why welfare plays in to this.

Also, if you actually knew anything about this subject you would know that abortions are only a small portion of what PP does. What they primarily do is provide routine medical exams for women, provide instruction on how to have safe sex as well as things like condoms and birth control, and perform STI checks.

That's why when PP was defunded in Indiana there was an increase in HIV in poor, rural areas. For many of these communities PP is the closest, most convenient, and best option they have when it comes to reproductive health.

Every business that receives federal funding through Medicare and Medicaid undergoes a regular, stringent, audit. If any malfeasance is discovered that business is no longer eligible to receive funding. There's also usually serious fines and arrests.
