Obviously this will fall to the wayside as the narrative doesn't fit news worthy "news".
Thank you Krakatoa for bringing this, sorry it has no legs.

FWIW; I checked the on line sources, and see no further updates.

This is a great example that supports the second amendment. Just think how many would have been killed if the shooter was the only one with a gun. Instead he runs into another gun and is neutralized.

a reply to: Krakatoa

Assuming for the moment that that story is even remotely true...

Gee, another bullied child that snapped... Color me surprised.

Perhaps, now, we can give some thought to actually addressing the real issues that lie at the root of this particular action. Is that too much to expect?

Could be another case of a firearm owner NOT securing their firearms properly. If found to not have locked it up at all, IMO, the owner in this case should also bear some responsibility for this incident and be charged as an accomplice.

The 19-year-old who allegedly opened fire in an Illinois high school this week used a gun that had been purchased by his mother, according to Illinois State Police. No victims were injured in the Wednesday morning shooting at Dixon High School, and the suspect, Matthew Milby of Dixon, Illinois, is in custody. The weapon used was a 9mm semi-automatic rifle that was purchased by Milby's mother in 2012, according to the state police. The state police said it is investigating how the 19-year-old -- a former student at Dixon High School -- obtained the gun.
