I think 100k is high when it's 2018 and birth control is effective and available to anyone willing to make proper life choices. We can do better and abortion should be plan C not plan A like people who are so far pro choice they use abortion as birth control.

Well you aren't going to achieve those numbers through defunding PP.

I'll do just that. It's really nice and stress free not being scared of my own shadow and not being paranoid of people different than me all the time. I actually pity your types who are scared of everything and are addicted to fear porn.

I wonder what it must be like to be you, so sure of your view of the world that you don't ever have to consider other opinions (and facts) other than your own. I highly doubt that a day will ever come where you might think to yourself for just a moment that you actually are wrong about something.

Who said I don't consider opinions other than my own? I just don't wallow in the fear, hyperbole and sensationlism that media outlets use to sell their product.

I said that because that is what you have shown me in my conversations with you.

Lol. Not believing your hyperbole about Muslims doesn't mean that I don't consider opinions other than my own. I just happen to research various opinions and discard them when I find evidence that disproves them. YOUR opinion is founded through ignorance and fear. There is no point in considering it beyond initial consideration. Then you discard it after realizing that there is no basis in fact in fearing Muslims.

You really don't do that and you know it. You are 100% for your team and that is all you are. You do not care about anything other than that and post after post after post you prove that again and again. It's sort of amazing to behold.

Speaking of the religion of Islam, how much have you studied it? How many books have you read on it? How much do you know of the entire history of the religion? I have an idea that you really haven't researched it. I have an idea that you take what you glean from articles that support your preconceived notions and that is just fine by you.

And that is not surprising to me if so. I think you are all talk and no substance.

Education is the answer to reducing abortion.
Because no one will force a women to carry a child they do not want.
Unless society goes all handmaid's tale.
I think some still want to control women...sod their rights and freedoms.

It is indeed wonderful news.
Yet another promise kept. Never seen a leader of any country keep as many promises as this President of the USA.
Even the ones he has yet to deliver seems only to be because of being blocked by the Senate.

Shut up, Republicans want to force women to do what they want and muslim women never have abortions because they are a religion of peace. Get it?

Sarcasm.....just saying.

Planned Parenthood Employee: I Support Abortion β€œBecause I’m Black.” But 1,800 Black Babies Aborted Daily

The abortion rate is disproportionately high in the black American community. Even though black Americans make up 13 percent of the U.S. population, 35 percent of the babies killed in abortions are black, according to the Centers for Disease Control. The black genocide of abortion is disturbingly evident in New York City, where state data shows more black babies are aborted than are born.

here are some other things that are higher for african americans.
childbirth that leads to the death of the mother, poverty, lack of health insurance, imprisoned males, unemployment, crime... and the list goes on...
to me, it would seem more reasonable that these conditions would play a stronger role in the decision making process than anything planned parenthood could be telling them.
I mean, come on, go approach any random pregnant women and out of the blue tell them that they should abort their baby.... see where it gets you. my guess is that unless you have a white coat on, a medical degree backing you up, and you are holding the test results that indicate there is something terribly wrong with the pregnancy or the women is already seriously considering the idea.... you're likely to get clobbered either verbally, or maybe even physically for it!!

but... how about we take a look at what the right is hoping will be replacing those planned parenthood clinics.... what kind of care they will be offering...
will there be medical staff.... quite possibly... no....
will those ultrasounds that they offer their clients be read by a trained professional... again, possibly no.
will their patients be given factual, truthful information and be free to discuss a full range of their options.... NO!!!

www.prochoiceamerica.org...

and, oh, ya, they target the poor communities also....

seems to the that the best way anyone could make a decision about their healthcare is be fully (and truthfully) informed about not only their current physical condition, but also their options... and, I really think that planned parenthood has a better trained staff.
I'm sorry, but any medical provider, or anyone pretending to be a medical provider, provides medical tests or examinations and picks up or didn't pick up because they were really unqualified to do the test or exam something that posed a risk to the patient, client, whatever... and neglects to inform them of this and mention abortion as an option should be held for medical malpractice, and if the patient, client, whatever you desire to call them happens to die because of their actions, they should be held for neglectful homicide!!
if the cost for those federal funds is that doctors are forced to go against their conscious and refuse to provide the medical care that they believe is in the best interest of their patient's health... then I really do hope that they just give up that funding, bill the patients that lost that funding, write off the loss of the unpaid bills, and then well they can cry to the gov't like the banks did days before the whole system collapses.

Laughable that Dems call Trump Hitler when PP has the eugenics program and regulary kills babies. PP is the Hitler of today.

so isn't the poverty rate, so isn't the incarceration rate, the infant mortality rate, the divorce rate, the single parent homes, the maternal death rate, the number of uninsured, the illiteracy rate, and on and on!! does that mean that society, overall has a eugenics program against the african americans? or is it more that we really have some serious inequality issues still that causes all this crap?

and for your information, PP not only were the ones that gave me my pregnancy tests for all my kids, but gave me the first prenatal vitamins and blood tests... as well as helped me find a ob/gyn that was willing to work with us as far as an easy, not so painful payment plan for the prenatal care and delivery.
with my first kid, well, the pediatrician said the baby would be fine when I asked her about his yellowing skin, oh ya, we'd both be ready to go home the next day... the next day, well, she came in and told me, they had him under the lights because of what was causing the yellowing skin....
ya know what?? she turned out to be a pretty good pediatrician for all my kids, even if she did make that one little mistake.

Probably not. If your thesis were correct, why would abortion rates for black (and others) be declining? Blacks show a 50% decrease over 14 years.
www.guttmacher.org...

So, how does reducing funding for an organization which encourages contraception help to reduce abortions?

But perhaps the reason that black women have a disproportionate rate of abortion has something to do with the fact that they have a disproportionate rate of death in pregnancy and childbirth. It seems to be much more dangerous for them.

Put another way, a black woman is 22 percent more likely to die from heart disease than a white woman, 71 percent more likely to perish from cervical cancer, but 243 percent more likely to die from pregnancy- or childbirth-related causes. In a national study of five medical complications that are common causes of maternal death and injury, black women were two to three times more likely to die than white women who had the same condition.

Are the statistics incorrect?

But you're not in much of a position to complain about sources.

Life News is a news and opinion website that is focused on Pro-Life issues. They have a far right political bias and occasionally uses loaded words. They also source to other right wing biased or pseudoscience sources. (2/1/2017)
