President Trump said at a joint press conference with Japan's Prime Minister Shinzo Abe on Wednesday that if the meeting with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un is not "fruitful," he will "respectfully leave the meeting."

The President followed up with a second tweet that said, "We are a long way from conclusion on North Korea, maybe things will work out, and maybe they won't -- only time will tell."

I'd say that the man has certainly not counted any chickens before they hatched in this dealing with the NorKs.

By the way... NorK's argument is that these drills are preparation for an invasion of North Korea. The proper response from the State Department here should be some variant of "No, actually these drills have nothing to do with planning an invasion of North Korea, BUT if you keep flapping your damn mouth and follow through on this idiotic threat to cancel the summit, that can certainly be changed at the drop of a dime. Your call, Kim. We're good either way, you know our digits, just let us know."
That will end this noise immediately.

This is the news media's "shiny object of the day". If NK cancels, we haven't lost a thing. In fact, there are some Anti-America types who will be very pleased.

My guess is that NK will use the SK and US wargames to show that they have the right to keep their nuclear weapons to "protect themselves" from a hostile force.

NK will make concessions on ending nuclear testing for lifting sanctions> (no biggies since they already lost their test site)

Just like him giving up the 3 prisoners during the meeting SK sent NK 500 head of cattle. NK got rid of 3 mouths to feed and took in something they can eat.

KIm is playing games. FFS they are a nuclear power now and to prove it he crossed the border with impunity and returned.

How convenient. If he wins the prize you guys can use it to justify his presidency, if he doesn't then you can say it's overrated because Obama won it.
