I'm sure they are. I never said that gen X was perfect or even more "sane". There was a major difference in the entitlement sense though and what they expected from others. You can stomp your feet and claim it's not true but even the MSM say it's true and they cater to the millenials.

Gen xer here....

My parents were hardened by the oil bust of the early 80s. We lived an incredibly hard and poor life when i was young. My dad worked harder than any man ive ever known. He was actually known for this virtue in iur community. My mom too.

I know some softys like what are mentioned here in the op. But most i grew up around didnt have a pot to piss in and fought for every inch. My kids...they are soft. Not my parents.

Well it's easy to point a finger at those that did something rather than those that haven't....yet. Who says the next generation is going to be any better?

The next generation is going to be A.I.-powered robots and they'll be perfect.

Why is pointing out that you failed your civic duty by protecting our institutions whining?

Do you have a hard time taking personal responsibility?

If you arent interested in others thoughts get off message boards

That's your opinion. Navigating shifts in history isn't as easy as waving a wand. And the shifts in the last 40 years has been difficult as the world has caught up with us and surpassed us in some instances.

Do you have a hard time taking personal responsibility?

Not one bit.

Thoughts are fine if they have any substance. Whining about others isn't productive or proactive.

What's this civic duty you are going on about? I'll address it.
