Communism/socialism eliminates the individuals rights. Is that a good plan?

I'm not discussing the merits of anyone's plan, I'm saying the Constitution allows them to publicly discuss that plan whether it's viable or not.

Seriously. Why is this point constantly lost in the mix in this thread and the thread keeps devolving into the merits of left wing policies? The thread isn't about left wing policies and if you approve of them or not. It's about how left wingers and right wingers all have equal right to express their political opinions.

No, they can't.

Sure they can, it happens all the time and guess what? Not illegal. The maryfication of American has left people incapable of dealing with opinions radically different than theirs.

I never agreed with the welfare system. It is a Democrat racist vote buying tactic. It keeps blacks right where they want them. Again socialism at its best. Quit the Kum ba ya utopian flawed logic. The system keeps a certain demographic under their thumb. Take your money and shut up and vote for us. It neither induces a desire to better ones self or stimulate creativity. I do not think blacks are dumb therefore don't need a nanny socialist state to compete. In nature there is always competition for resources. It creates balance and harmony. Fosters creativity. Socialism is created on the basis of jealousy and power. I quote " The inherent vice of capitalism is the unequal sharing of prosperity, the inherent vice of socialism is the equal sharing of misery" Sir Winston Churchill. He also said socialism is the Philosophy of failure. I keep pretty good company where opinion is concerned. Who is yours? Stalin, Lennin, Marx, Trotsky, or Castro. How about Venezuela? Your company is truly miserable. I have employed people from Communist countries. Their stories are nothing less than hair raising. There is no compromise PERIOD when it comes to socialism in this country. WILL NOT HAPPEN EVER. Neither Communist Socialism or National Socialism. I never want government deciding my place or fate in this world.

I never said you agreed with it or not. I just said it is part of our country. Also, compromise with socialism has already happened. It happened before you were born and it has happened when you were born and it happens today. You can either get right with this or keep yelling at clouds. Either way, whether you agree with Socialism or not, it is within our country and politicians are willing to compromise on it.

Is it socialism when government gives profitable companies subsidies and grants, bailing out banks and automobile manufactures, with taxpayer money. Or is that just business as usual and a double standard. If that's not corporate socialism; what is it?

Don't thank Obama and Bush, they're not the one's buying you a drink. If i had a drink with you, I'm afraid of what might happen, we might agree, and that would terrify the # out of me.

or Trump giving taxpayer money to foreign corps. Is that socialism or foreign aid?

www.newsweek.com...

Why are foreign corps. more important and given preferential treatment, than small middle class US businesses that can't even get an SBA loan.

Everything is actually fine. People can find communities that are most relevant to their social beliefs. Or they can complain in a lazy state of hypocrisy where they wish things to be different but don't take action, nor do they have the balls to migrate to a culture more relevant to their standards.

If I can't convert my community into an egalitarian nudist commune maybe I should just go establish or find one my self.

The best federal government would be one that facilitates liberty throughout the country as long as they don't impede on the rights of others. Domestically we do pretty well, but our foreign affairs are bloody af.

Social security is not socialism. I have paid into social security for 49 years. Welfare is socialism. Redistribution of wealth.

You are correct and that is not socialism it is malignant capitalism. I admit that both have their negatives but all past examples of socialism are abject failures. Capitalism is not perfect. Wall Street is a perfect example. We need to peel the onion layers back and find the controllers of what we deem the free market. It is flawed no doubt but I would rather have that than government nanny me and decide what is best for me. Communism is just that.

Free market what is it? Its giving the child lemonade stand a citation for breaking local vender ordnance while city officials cover the illegal dumping of the largest employer in town. And all points in between.

Its big agriculture breaking out in hives over a new birth in home gardening.

Problems arise when any particular group becomes so offended at your opinions that they demand you give up your beliefs and convictions to accommodate theirs.

I dunno, I think that's an excuse. People just don't know how to take responsibility for their own # anymore, they need someone to blame, it frees them from all responsibility. It's the new way don't ya know?

This has to be one of the lamest talking points ever. Giving american tax paying businesses tax breaks (by reducing the corporate tax rate) helps foreign investors... More than americans. That's quite a dubious stretch. Notice they don't take into account all of the savings on goods, the increase in jobs, etc. that the tax cuts have for american workers. Nor do they seem to realize that 35% of stocks being held by foreigners means that 65% is held by americans. 65%>35% which is a fatal flaw in this logic.
