This has probably been addressed but I'm not wasting my time reading this trash. You do realize many if not most black people might be related to a slave owner because the slave owner had sex with his slaves. The idiocy here is #ing stunning

Public school?
Black slave owner

I'm not sure what you're trying to say here. That's not his ancestor

I was surprised while doing a search for my name to find several blacks who have it. My surname is not common and is of English origins.

The obvious conclusion is that ancestors of mine were slave owners. Interestingly, on the other side of the family, there is a famous abolitionist from whom I get my middle name. So...now what?

Sounds like ancestry for most people. So the whatabout ism of the left gets challenged by even you...Funny part to witness for me is the willingness of those on the far left to put all that on other people while being guilty of blinders for their team.

This is , of course, exactly the opposite of what is going on. Slavery existed when written history began. If you go far enough back, everybody has slave owning ancestors. The issue here is why the OP wants to portray a former president as a hypocritical, angry black man.

Simple really. It is because Obama is a hypocrite who is an angry man, who just happens to be part black. He is a disgrace to MLK's legacy and the many fine leaders of the black community who came before him. He did surprise a lot of blacks and become the 1st black President and changed their outlook only to use it to divide more than his election brought us together.

You have made it clear you hate him. Be more specific. In what way is he hypocritical? Can you point to an occasion where he demonstrated anger?

Personally, I suspect you are a hypocrite for calling leaders of the black community "fine," and blaming Obama for the racial divisiveness you yourself are inciting. But that, I must emphasize, is my opinion, not a fact.

That right there is proof the 1st slave owner in America was black. That is huge, ignore away. We can't prevent the past from repeating if we ignore it.

I am a white member of a mostly black church so guess again. I personally hang out with great black leaders of my community. They don't like Spike Jones OR Kenya to be fair.....They don't like the neighborhood being overrun with drug lords either and it is in the poor community and there are many blacks on the gov money having to live near drug dealers. It is a dilemma for them that will not end. Jobs is the answer and several are happy to have landed one in the last few months thanks to the upswing since we moved on to DJT, who is not perfect at all.

The article says " one of the first people in Virginia" not "the very first." Note also that he was indentured, a form of slavery. Some of the proposed changes to immigration policy look suspiciously like indentured slavery.

You to pretend to not get it at all. Are you Silly too?

I haven't any desire to discuss anything on this matter but the truth so instead of spade we use what again?

Balls and strikes, gutter balls too....... Maybe that is cooler to prevent meltdowns.... geeze.. the maturation of the left can't happen fast enough.

It matters not what the actual facts are to you or several other here does it? And before you answer remember other ATS members who verify false statements in the threads. So many of that group of leftitst go "lalalallalalalal" and repeat proven lies originating from the progressives that is a fact. Do your own homework please.

ETA

And stay neutral. You can't call it the way you see it if you are all left or right. Join the middle again, we need to pull back from the extremist tripe. AND the OP is not that IMO, the facts are NEUTRAL.

1635 or '36 was when he was allowed to be a slave owner. That predates America being free. The facts are white and black were either indentured servants or slaves depending on country of origin as well as slave owners. Some country's in Europe were places that slaves originated like Ireland and you can bet the Irish think of it as slaves to the British in the 17th century. Some within African nations were sold as slaves. In America, the Indians of which I literally have a Cherokee Sister-in-law, were using slavery of their captured enemies. Just not as harshly as Islam or the Europeans. The children were kept alive and as they grew up they could choose to marry a member of the tribe that kidnapped them or get sent back as barter if the other tribe was inclined to settle.

instead of all this we need to fear why our children hate people and want to hurt them.... We are teaching love and doing the right thing again, a lot of this improves. The point of our Constitution was to be watchful of the charlatans like the ones we see today on the left and the reaction they get in the POTUS elections. These elected running over and over for power are all a bunch of liars and all of us see that. Show me one we think hasn't lied and they will get caught. We actually need to see a black CONSERVATIVE woman win to heal this place IMO. I know a few who are awesome around my neighborhood.

Their children would tell you that "Mamma don't play!". Nope, they tell us like it is. I have witnessed that for sure.

It amazes me how you guys are full of glee and joy with every alleged scandal you can drag out of the right wing media to paint Obama and other democrat politicians with a dirty brush yet still support a guy who pays of porn stars and is basically the worlds worst joke.

But no....let’s keep it about obama and Hillary then cry whenever anyone even utters the words “Russian collusion”....

Who cares if momma obama was a commie, papa trump was involved with the kkk. Your right wing bs vs my left wing bs.

The drivel that gets posted these days....

Over the last year and a bit, there have been way more threads on ATS and the media slamming Trump and Republicans than ones slamming democrats or liberals. So, people who don't believe Democrats or liberals are supposed to keep quiet while the Democrats and liberals chastise the white house and GOP and the only thing Republicans are allowed to do is watch and say nothing?

well, I do not know anyone who will believe they are not allowed to speak except, maybe kids. Even kids will say they agree but actually ignore what adults say to them..

Do you just forget about the 8 years before that?

Oh, there were a lot of Obama bashing threads in those eight years. But I am talking about during Trump's presidency. The difference now is that the Media is twisting everything to get people to believe something is true when it is not. Only fox did that before, and I never liked watching fox news. But Fox actually was way more honest than the Democratic MSM is these days, they only twisted a few things.

I actually backed Obama in a high percentage of those threads back those days. I back the elected president no matter what party he or she is from. I would have been backing Hillary if she had won. I am glad she did not win, I think she is a big liar, it is the first time in a presidential election that I remember that the best deceiver did not win. Kind of makes me wonder if we are going to see a god come down on a white horse from heaven since the best deceiver lost.

“Russian collusion”....

The drivel that gets posted these days....

It is ridiculous. It has just been repeated ad nauseum and some have accepted it as fact when it remains entirely circumstantial.

The Russia collusion conspiracy only exists when you connect about 3 dozen "dots" and make a whole hell of a lot of assumptions.

It amazes me the allegations have been going on well over 2 years now, yet not a shred of evidence showing any "collusion" has surfaced. Only lawful meetings and interactions as private citizens. Need I remind you interacting with a Russian isn't a crime. Nor is it a crime if that Russian just so happens to be involved in an ALLEGED conspiracy. Unless and until you can show POTUS directly knew of the conspiracy, there is *still* nothing here.

Oh, and I read the ~1800 some pages of the Trump Jr. transcript: no bombshells. Hence why Mueller/Feinstein/Schiff hadn't leaked it before its release.

The main difference here being that Obama lectured all of us about race relations like his s*** didn't stink, while his family history included slave owners. Trump may have had KKK members in his family, but Trump has done nothing but try to help the inner cities, has received awards from prominent African-American people, you get the gist.

Trump is literally what Obama tried to be.

I.care very much what the facts are. Where is the proof that Obama was ever "livid?" Or are you focussed on the possibility that he may have had slave owners somewhere in his family tree?

Oh who cares about his lividness? It is just a story that highlights the Hypocritical nature that really matters. "Holier than thou " meets KARMA is a better title.
