Who Supports Free Speech is the title of the presentation; immigration, race and cultural values are the points around which the issue of freedom of speech turns. Evidence reveals a cultural bias inherent in our founding documents which liberal programs knowingly or not tend to diminish.

Of particular interest is the use of the label "racist" and how it has been used to shut down speech exclusive to one side of the ideological debate. Of all our fundamental rights none is perhaps more crucial than freedom of speech. Current trends in immigration, education, intelligence and identitarian politics are creating a formidable power block that is willing to forgo freedoms for the sake of Utopian idealism.

The statistics presented make a very clear case but whether we act upon it or not is the issue. When there is no free speech other rights quickly follow. We are seeding the ground to make totalitarian rule inevitable.

It seems 'cultural bias' is normal and perhaps even a survival point. We have an equally strong, if not stronger, bias today against our own culture.

The world-wide melting pot allows for no 'cultures' yet supports implementation of new cultural norms as fast as possibly swallowed.

When in Rome, do what the Romans do, has been altered to when at home, do what new kids on the block do. Manners subverted into PC restricted acceptance.

The push-back has just begun.

I've yet to listen through the entire video but I too agree with the right to freedom of speech.

Any true Democracy should empower this in all people, and all empowered people should regard this as the epitome of such freedom, and thus not abuse that freedom, after which the control factor sets in and after that abuse by those in power to overstep their placement in governing the masses.

He ends the video by saying that educated people are more likely prefer free speech.

He also says that colleges are lowering their standards and so with that comes reduced tolerance.

The source of his data supports his first claim, and completely contradicts his second claim:
gssdataexplorer.norc.org...

Makes me wonder about all those people who think colleges are "sjw brainwashing leftist institutes where there's no tolerance".

"Free speech" should be well defended, always. But "cultural" and "immigrant".. "values", will eventually, define what "free speech" is. That is a very scary thought if you believe we are "governed" by a "Democracy". Your "emotional" good will, will most likely allow into your "Democracy" (a majority) of "undesirables" folks that think you shouldn't be "free" to make "speeches". This will be the end result of any people/nation that think any "speech" is good/allowable with out first, the "speech maker" being made into a "citizen"... Greece and The Roman Empire are fine examples. Not to mention Persia. Most recently England's "Empire" is a better example..The U.S.A. will be the next example if we don't start slapping the emotional, "free thinkers" around, and get them on board with the "laws" of the Republic. The "Democrats" will vote themselves into "regulated freedom". Thinking it will create a good voting base and push "Constitutionalism/conservatism" into a minority of their "democracy". But what they don't realize is anything they do that is repugnant to the "law" is illegal. And it will be viewed as such by the "minority". Which is fine. Because the "majority" has nothing to say regarding "free rights". I think there is to much "cultural value" being thrown around in America. Like that old saying, "When in Rome? Do as the Romans.) Yeah, no. There culture ain't mine. If I "migrated" there? I may want to LEARN to be Roman. But don't come to the U.S.A. thinking the whole country is "free". It's not. There's a price to be paid. Saying what you want, is one thing. And that's fine and totally allowable. FORCING, or ENFORCING, a real American to believe it? That not allowed. The socialist/democrats ain't figured that out yet.
I have nothing against culture. I'm of Irish and Italian blood. I love my heritage. But my culture is American, I was born here! I'll shoot a Murphy or a Riccardi, Uberti just as fast as a Ching, Chink, WAP, Sanchez, Smith, Takimoto, Mohamaboo, obamaboo, or whatever! Just don't try and force me to believe it. That's when you have crossed the line. Other than that? You're free to say whatever you want.

Freedom of speech is not the issue - minorities & their political enablers pushing for socially unacceptable behaviour upon the majority is what the real issue is.

For instance, I believe that gays have the right to marry, that business owners have the right to refuse to deal with gays but it is patently unacceptable for government to insist business owners deal with gays because retards on TV and social media have shouted down all discourse related to supporting the business owner.

So, again, it ain't the free speech bit - it's the pushing to change laws which enables minorities and punishes majorities - from toilet facilities to wedding cakes to residing in the US illegally - the minorities are being given a free pass at the expense of the majority.

Freedoms are lost in an established society by increments..call it the 1000 cut method. After 9/11 and the governments claiming there was a terrorist behind every bush... along with the cultural fragmentation of society it was easy to bring the knives out IMO.

Citation of the specific law is required and once you post it, I bet I could prove that gays are discriminating against a business because their pathetic feelings were hurt.. So, until then, discrimination against the majority is the same as discrimination against the minority and sorry - but waking up every day and being offended by opinions does not give anyone the right to insist that the differing opinions be shut down by bike-lock force or death threats and then claim they are entitled to do so because 'discrimination' means they can discriminate but their detractors cannot.

Discrimination in your given example, is a violation of the civil rights act.

You moved from someone wanting to buy a cake to that someone attacking the bakery with a bike lock...did that happen or is this hyperbole?

You're language usage actually leads me to believe that you're probably a bigot.

Do you dislike gays?

Btw your avatar looks pretty gay.

I dislike intolerant gays/muslims/jews/politicians/yanks/kiwis/aussies and everyone else who wants to quash opinions and/or punish entire subsections of society because 'feelings'. Also, you need to look up the word 'bigot' and familiarise yourself with its meaning.

So you dislike bigots.

No need to append anything after intolerant...

I don’t know about the so-called “racial gap” in free speech. If you look at the world with such a framework you’ll come up with those results. If I looked at the world comparing short people’s views to tall people’s views I could make a similar chart. Except immutable characteristics do not determine nor have any bearing on how one considers free speech.

Religion? Ideology? Perhaps. But the the “racial gap” in free speech is racist fantasy.

Interesting Results to say the least. From listening to the media, you'd think the Democrats were Lightyears ahead of the Republicans with Free Speech.

As Rasheed Wallace once said:

Ball don't Lie.

Facts seem to prove otherwise.
