I actually did that once, exchanged email contacts with a member. Since then Google sends me an alert whenever I try to use that gmail(!) account, telling me it's not safe.
I decline I spread internet schizophrenia on all the poor devices I come in personal contact with, it seems.

Hi Kev,

I am absolutely fascinated by your ideas and theories regarding the phenomena. Regardless of their validity they have inspired a level of openness and critical thinking regarding the topic that I have not had for quite some time.

I was wondering what your opinion was regarding the black robed apparitions.

I hope you have not abandoned this thread and look forward to your elaboration. Thanks

I will be summarising this thread shortly and putting forward the theory in a more readable sense, KellyPrettyBear was an awesome poster here on ATS and this thread contains some excellent theories that I feel need to be highlighted and potentially put in a more concise format.

Watch this space...

So why do some people see 'stuff' and other's don't?

I could talk about Albert Budden and the MUFON study.. but one major
factor that people have missed.. (they see the forest but not the trees ;-) )

All those MUFON factors feed into one single attribute..
The older behavior of the Phenomenon.. so absurd.. it's a plain clue.

So let's say that a Shaman sees stuff.. NIDS would agree.. lots of people
would agree.

Is it just mental illness? Epigenetic factors?

Straw for the little red wagon.

What makes someone a "Shaman" is that their brain/nervous system is
lived in a "liminal fashion".

Not this.

Not that.

Neti Neti the yoga masters would say.

Just like with the analog/digital hypothesis.. there are two major
factions.

One wants to convince us to put computer chips in our heads.

The other wants us to be 'liminal' (off-balance).

Abused children are off-balance (liminal).. etc etc.

I just wanted to put forward this whole liminal thing in
this way..

I will concur however, that at times there is something
physical enough to see, that you don't have to be
'liminal' to see it and to interact with it.

But even then, it would seem that 'summoning'
those more 'physical things' requires that liminality..
at least initially..

If one was liminal as you say kev, could when groups of people experience "it" could the one person who is predisposed, essentially give the others "the rub" and ability to see it?

Maybe people that propose mass hallucinations as an explanation were missing the point entirely but at the same time were bang on the money..?

The one person almost unwittingly becomes a decryption node...

Interesting...

I'm always fascinated with what the exact connection is between the classical
'phenomenon' and human beings. I'm not discussing the offspring, the
'machine intelligence here' --- that's a whole 'nother subject.

In a manner of speaking, humans crave the phenomenon.. they are all
linked to it.

the thing is, that once a person understands what the phenomenon
is, and what it isn't, then they have to face up to what they themselves
are, and in fact, humans don't tend to want to know who/what they
are.. and their 'place in the universe'.

They would rather make up fantastical stories about souls and ascension
and afterlives and god and all that delusional garbage.

Really.. all those stories... solidified sort of... are the phenomenon.

you can append that if you like.. with other bits of he phenomenon
from other forms of life in other star systems or parallel worlds if
you want.. but that's outside the scope.

A hypothesis of course.

In regards to what it is and what it isn't, as you say...interpretation is the issue here. But how things are interpretated is one of humanities biggest problems.

If we are all linked to "it", investigating the "why" sparks my intrigue. Is it as simple in that we just occupy the same space and time or is it because the universe is the sum of all of these parts and indeed the whole universe IS the phenomenon. A large collection of nodes of information forming a creature swimming through the cosmos...the machine intelligence is just like a virus in the body, an unwanted artificial child.

Hey..it's a blue sky thinking day and people like my rambles apparently

I don't know if you are up on your M-theory / string theory, but
it certainly appears that our 4 'dimenions' of space/time are just
part of a larger manifold that includes 7 others (or more).

The math is interesting.. it's not all BS.

Now when discussing M theory, you will hear about the so-called
curled up dimensions (the 7 we can't see).. We are basically
just talking length, width, height, and time here.. nothing
'metaphysical'.

My observation is that it's 'our dimenions' that we live within,
that are the curled up ones.

I'ts sort of like a zoo.. the 4D beings are missing a lot of the
information that the presumably 11D beings (if any exist)
have..

So naturally, the 'phenomenon' here on Earth and in this
galaxy/universe might be quite different. Rather corrupted
i would say, compared to the 'whole'.

Here on Earth, the phenomenon makes due with it's
'cramped living conditions'.

Another interesting thing to keep in mind.. how reality
shapes myth, which sometimes creates the phenomenon.

www.timelessmyths.com...

I talk a bit flippantly about how 'faeries' are the ones
doing the golden age UFO stuff.. and in a way I mean it..

but where did the faeries come from? Do i believe in invisible
little men without investigating a theory?

Not at all.

If you talk to an Irish folklore expert, like a dear friend
who I learned much from who used to post on ATS,

you may find that 'fairies' were just a myth that developed
from the Tuatha Dé Danann, who, were probably real
people who migrated to Ireland, way back..

well over time, if you read the article, you see that they
'devolved' to 'fairies'.

I take that to mean, that people started believing in 'faeries'
because of wild stories about these people..

and eventually.. there probably were "fairies".

The "phenomenon" evolves due to contact between some sort
of energy/raw sentience.. in the zero point field and biological systems
to use a metaphor..

so beliefs CAN become 'real-ish'.

This is of course why 'faries' and similar 'phenomenon ghosts' do
not want to be true named.. it's PAINFUL to be told that you
don't exist.. in any real way..

It's been some time since i realized the basic mechanism..

that's why its FUNNY that by faking UFOs for 70+ years..
the US government has been CREATING ufo's... just like
how Irish folklore created 'real-ish' 'faeries'.

Now.. why some things are created and other things are not
created.. I have no idea..

you'd think that our world would be filled with ghostly apparitions
of Farrah Faucet (from her poster), porn stars, etc..

Maybe these apparitions do appear.. but people are too embarrassed
to admit it.

Ok, so in a sense are you stating that;

1)whatever it is, takes the form of what people believe...the trickster element...it has an awareness of people's beliefs and moulds/morphs to that

2) it is created from nothing... people create "it" themselves?

Would love your take on this kev

(have a hunch you're gonna say both
)

From what I can see, the interaction between the Zero Point Field
and the Casimri effect in particular, interacting with certain
neurological structures in organic systems causes effects,
often called 'poltergeist type' or 'phenomenon-like'.

Now I'm postulating that this happened billions of years ago
in a galaxy far far away too.. only it evolved.. and propagated.

We are only able to come up with intermediate assumptions..
since we can't know what happens outside of our limited
framework.

So yes.. nothing..

I can't even assume that I exist.. I can only assume that
*something* that sometimes thinks its me exists.

Learning to live productively under these limitations
is what people struggle with.

Rene Descartes walks into a bar and orders a drink. When he finishes his drink, the bartender asks him if he would like another. Descartes replies, “No, I think not,” and disappears in a puff of logic.

I read through the first few pages, but I haven't had time to read through them all to see if what I'm about to bring up has already been brought up or not, but I have to say - that makes a lot of sense. If shamans are real you are the real deal for sure. Anyway, I was wondering what if anything you had to say about the Fibonacci sequence and the golden ratio.

In summary:

Imagine there was a number so profound and purposeful that the natural world and spacetime itself would bend to it.

It was called the Fibonacci sequence.

In a pattern that can be extended all the way to infinity, the knowledge of its existence has pervaded civilizations for thousands of years, dating back to the early Buddhism and Indian Hinduism.

As the knowledge began to spread to the West, we soon realized the importance of this string of digits, and today we apply this knowledge in all manner of practical ways; search algorithms, stock trading, gambling odds – all make use of the Fibonacci sequence.

It appears in flowers, nautilus and snail shells, waves breaking on a shore.

Hurricanes.

From DNA to the spiral galaxies thousands of lightyears across – the Golden Ratio’s existence implies intelligent design of nature and eternity itself.

- excerpt from a novella of mine, coincidentally called Analog.
