trying grounding.

Basically mediate with your bare feet on dirt or sand or solid earth. Imagine your thoughts and negative feelings being absorbed by the Earth and being turned into positive energy. On each inhale imagine electric energy flowing up from the center of the Earth into your body. On each exhale breathe out negativity.

This might help the anxiety and the wandering mind, it helps for me sometimes.

Meditation is a vast tech and it wont do you any better than a daily bath in most cases.


You ll know when meditation comes to you. not the other way around.

maybe op wrote all that to let you know there is such a thing.
but hardly is the way to it.

you d amazed at the vastness of the authentic literature that exists just to explain the way that leads to meditation and you wouldnt understand or practice a word of it by reading it. it just doesnt work that way. i am really sorry.

Sorry for what?
Meditation is about recognising the space of awareness.
The thing is; that aware space is always here.............but it is not obvious because the attention (awareness) is usually on the appearing things.
How often is the tv screen noticed when the screen is full of a moving image?

if it is not from an authentic source you have no chance whatsoever. even for that you need years to actually meditate.

If meditation is successful then it will be recognised that there isn't 'anyone in there'.........it will be found that there is just an aware space with everything happening in it/as it.

The ultimate truth is; no one will ever meditate!!

When there is anxiousness..........look at that feeling.....look directly at the feeling without naming or labelling.......be interested in the feeling.
The feeling of anxiousness is often not wanted and feared...............but just look at it.
Here is a little talk that may help.
