They aren't victims. They've refused to be victims, hence their carrying a firearm.

Note how these incidents usually go for the armed defender: extremely well.
The criminal? Not so well.

"Why do criminals hold their weapons side ways?"
"Because that is how it comes from the box"

I saw a funny photo of a High-Point C9 with a red dot sight mounted on the right hand side of the slide... for criminals to aim more accurately when they hold the weapon sideways.

I loved this video the first time I saw it. Not only because it shows what happens when a criminal comes up against someone who refuses to be a victim. But moreso because it is a smack in the face of the gun control gomers who refuse to admit this kind of thing even happens. It happens quite a lot but you will hardly ever hear about it in the media. That woman did it all correctly and no one but the bad guy got hurt. We have a winner!

Law breaker. That’s illegal in Brazil. So an illegal carry stopped an illegal carry...

Not France Brazil. But still illegal had it been France.

IN Brazil they dont have a law restricting military police from stopping a crime they see in progress as long as its in defense of another or self.

So very true Vroomfondel

Yet their main claim is "if guns really saved lives, we'd hear about it on the news"

While simultaneously ignoring the fact that a vast majority of MSM outlets refuse to report such incidents. Our entertainment news outlets are some of the most partisan and least credible in the world, IMO

That made my day hearing that, now the real question is if it helped his accuracy any

This hero police officer in Brazil certainly wasn't having any of that BS though. Takes a special kind of a-hole to commit a violent crime next to a school. Just zero regard for those kids. Fortunately she knew how to shoot properly and didn't suffer any accuracy issues, unlike the other guy

Very true - The NRA had a TV program running for many years [is it still on?] showing various incidents where just having
or showing a gun stopped a crime - Most often the gun was never fired - Many examples where having a gun stops a
crime. - You rarely see those incidents on regular news media.

The local news here in Las Vegas does report incidents where a homeowner shoots someone in a home invasion incident
- Read somewhere that in the UK whidh has very strict gun control - home invasions have gone way up.

One interesting incident here in Vegas was a home invasion where the homeowner not only stopped a home invasion
with a gun - But then went out on the street and shot the invader who was already some distance from his home
- Of course he was charged with a crime for going after the invader - Guess what? - The jury would not convict him!

Nevada has always been fairly friendly to the Second Ammendment - BUT since that incident last year where a loan nut killed a bunch of people
with an arsenal of guns and ammunition, including an illegally modified rifle to fully automatiic from a casino hotel room window
- The so called 'liberal politicians' are in heat - Many are campaigning on tickets claming how they will take on the NRA and add more gun control.
Sometimes I wonder if some of these so-called liberal politicians don't secretly wish for gun nuts and mass murder - Just so they can get
more gun control - I believe being gun control advocates probaly causes liberals to lose more electrons than any othe issue.

This occurred in Brazil and the woman in question was an off duty military police officer.

Off-duty police officer, mom hailed as hero for taking out would-be robber at Mother's Day event near school

Reminds me of my sister, a bit.

That's the coolest video I've seen in a while.

I have a question for progressives, though.

If the robbery perp is a black guy, and that's a white female popping the cap, how do progressives reconcile that fact?

Does the black guy get all your Yays , or does the chick?

What is the progressive solution? The black guy is, well, black. But the chick, she's female. So does the black guy get yays? He is, after all, black. So does blackness trump gender, or is it the other way around? Does the chick get a pass because she's female?

Or does the fact that she carries a concealed handgun negate the fact that she's a she? All you'd have left is whiteness. Never mind. We pretty much know how THAT'S gonna play out.

Does the lady get disqualified in that scenario? Cause, you know, gun.

Does blackness always defeat all-comers?

How would progressives rule on this

Are you being provactive on purpose?

Always. Continuously. Without fail. Exclusively. Unerringly. I suppose you could consider it to be my natural state.

Realistically, one cannot look favourably upon the actions of the dead man. If he had not have pulled a weapon, been prepared to do so outside a school, in plain view of the children, and about nefarious business while in possession of that weapon and brandishing it, then he would not have an emptied out brain pan and a host of mourning relatives to his name.

As it is, his only possessions now, are the emotions people will pour into his funeral, and whatever immortal remnant is left behind after his passage from the physical realm.

The people I feel worst for in this situation are the bystanding mothers and children, and the shooter and her child. Its a hard enough thing to bear, being responsible for a loss of life, in any circumstance, no matter how justifiable. But for ones child to witness such a thing... it must be such a worry to the mother, and such a scar for the child. I hope both are alright, that the balm which is time applies itself with gusto to their eventual coming to terms with what happened.

A bad business all round, but what appears to have been a perfectly legitimate use of force, given the context of the shooting.

He was a good boy and was just getting his life turned around. Cue old picture of the kid in his high school cap and gown.
