Stated purpose of payments to Bill Clinton or the Clinton Foundation?
Speaking fees of a former President and donations to a global charity that the Clintons did not personally use as a slush fund.

After numerous investigations, the best the right wing could come up with was that Chelsea Clinton used an Admin to help plan a wedding reception.

Vs. Cohen paying hush money to mistresses and porn stars and outright selling his ability to influence US laws and Policy on behalf of corporations and Russian interests.

If you had any moral tether what-so-ever it would naturally follow that if the appearance of unsightly payments to the Clinton Foundation or Former President Bill Clinton was intolerable, then this outright sale of a President of the United States would be worthy of your full and unbridled outrage.

But instead you full-on defend the glaring and likely criminal corruption.

This is deserving of an investigation if it is true. It's sad though that we have a president who doesn't want to investigate a bit deeper into Hillary, even though he promised it.

However, it's easy to understand why -- he cannot; he took the money from the same people. If he were to investigate her, he would draw attention to himself.

Well, it is because it is legal for anyone to accept money from anybody is my understanding.

People have the right to be stupid with their money. But the only favors they can give out is meeting people and talking. Personal monetary gain for the benefactor is a deal breaker for elected officials and could get them a gray bar motel visit.

And now the New Yorker magazine runs a story on Cohen getting money from Vekselberg but doesn't mention Bill Clinton got money from Vekselberg also. Guess it's not news worthy or if they did it would diminish the severity of Trumps lawyer devious act..

During the Russian reset, these figures and entities provided the Clintons with tens of millions of dollars, including contributions to the Clinton Foundation, paid for speeches by Bill Clinton, or investments in small start-up companies with deep Clinton ties.
