Oh man, sure looks like Cohen should just change his name to Michael Clinton. He's just like one of those Clintons. I haven't seen anything this Clintonesque in some time. He's more Clinton than Bill Clinton. He's so Clinton that he probably has a closet full of pantsuits. Cohen Clinton. Clinton Cohen. Clinton Clinton Clinton. Cohen. If the Clintons had known how much money there was to be made in peddling influence over Trump, they'd probably have made nice with him so they could cash in just like Cohen. That Trump, he hires only the finest Clintons... I mean Cohens... I mean people. Sorry, they're just so similar it's easy to confuse Clinton and Cohen. Drain the swamp! Lock him up! U-S-A! U-S-A! U-S-A!

Bill Clinton was the President, Hillary Clinton was the Secretary of State and candidate for president. Cohen is Trump's lawyer. How are they similar? Oh yeah, they're not.

That's right. Except in the Cohen case, there is no evidence that a "Russian oligarch" had anything to do with anything.

and there is no evidence that a Russian oligarch has NOT had anything to do with it.......do you know how an investigation works?.......its seems you do not have a clue

There seems to be evidence. Whether or not there is proof we don't know yet.

Agree with you about holding Congress accountable for their actions and inactions. What I like about Trump and hoped for with Obama is both are outsiders.

I think Obama got over on me as he proved to be the consummate politician, just more grass roots and boot strap type than political egg head like most. Trump is struggling with who to trust as I always thought Sessions was horrible in Congress and a bad pick for his team, but I believe he is getting better with his picks.

It is just like I said in my first post, it's Us and Them and we allow them to define who is who. They keep us divided and move closer to their own goals while we fight over the mundane crumbs

LOL, yes, the new "investigation" process is when you open an investigation and look all over for a crime. It's the way the left is driving the bus these days.

I agree. I am an independent. I usually lean more towards classical liberal ideas...

I generally start playing devils advocate when people say liberals suck, conservatives suck etc..

I know great people of all kinds. I try and treat people as individuals.

Same. Once he was using the nsa against us for bulk data collection and it was exposed and admitted I was done.

I just don't think Trump is being treated somehow different. I think he know less of how to manipulate the system but would if he could. Even his replies that seem to allude he wishes he had a Loretta Lynch bother me.

Crazy how anytime the Clinton's are connected to something shady the thread skyrockets with flags but with Trump being connected with the same exact people the thread peters out almost immediately.

The one thread showing Trump's lawyer took money from these people is struggling to get 10 stars/flags and has been up since last night, this thread showing the same exact connection except to the Clinton's has been up maybe an hour and will be front page pretty soon. It really shows you the demographic around here these days.

Whataboutisms being enough to make it to the front page yet at the same time they are being vilified by the very same people unless they go in Trump's favor.

Could it possibly be that the Clintons have been found time and TIME and time and TIME again over 30 years in politics to be in shady dealings (to be nice), have actually committed crimes that are just "not prosecuted", but yet a guy that hasn't been found of any wrongdoing for about 2 years of a special council investigation and is the sitting President keeps getting 90% negative press by the propaganda arm of the DNC and is still slammed at every turn for something that didn't happen?

Could it be that the average Joe is sick of the double standard, so even in the microcosm of society that is ATS it is found to be hypocritical and highly partisan?

Could it be that the responses to the threads mentioned should be an indicator that possibly you need to think through your post and apply a little logic to it?

Whataboutism..... LOL

What a bunch of quality responses from the anti trumpers on this thread.

Lets hit some of the high points.

Yes this thread got more stars and flags than many of the anti trump ones. Why does that matter?

Do we at ATS have some sort of institutional power like the MSM or the intel agencies? Of course not. Yet these groups constantly have a double standard where they go after trump for the same things they gave Hillary a pass for.

As for claims of whataboutism.

I have been very clear fopr months now what I feel. I have no problem with investigating trump and his team. In this case, I have no problem with cohen being investigated (though raiding his office seemed a little harsh, but whatever).

Hoever, I find the idea that we have a politicized and weaponized intel ageny to be far more serious than any crime trump or anyone on this team has been accused of.

So my main interest is seeking a non corrupt intel agency, and pointing out their corruption and double standards.

Time after time after time I and others point this out (like on this thread) and we get anti trumpers ignoring or making excuses for this. This is because they are willing to cheer for a corrupt deep state as long as it takes down trump.

And that leads us to the incredible responses we see on this thread.

"Your thread got more stars!" "This is whatbaoutism!" "Hillarys not president"

And so on.

SO you all keep up the good fight to cheer for corruption and double standards by groups like the FBI as long as its against the guy you dont like, and I will keep pointing out that corruption and double standards and pushing for an equal application of the law.

Ok so you think there is something shadt with this deal and cohen.

I agree it should be investigated.

Now we knew many things like this and accusations of pay for play with Hillary.

DId you make posts and threads on the need to investigate that?

Are you in the slightest bit concerned that those allegations werent investigated with the same veracity that the investigation into trump or cohen is?

The same goes for many supporters.

For instance people swear he is treated unfairly. Point out well Bill Clinton wasn't really and that can't be admitted. Not that either is OK just that it's not some crazy unprecedented event.

Well Mueller is on a witch hunt squeezing witnesses.

Point out that is how prosecutors work and it may suck but it's standard practice and more deflection.

Point out Devin Nunea had Gowdy read all his documents and Gowdy thinks Mueller should finish his work and take his time and more deflection.

It's hardly just antitrumpers.

Whataboutism..... LOL

But that's exactly what this thread is about. If Trump is guilty of taking bribes in exchange for political favors he should be punished for it just like Clinton should be. To somehow come to the conclusion that since Clinton did it that means it's ok that Trump did it is not very logical.

Tell me why Cohen would be given $200,000 by AT&T not long before Trump's FCC head decided to repeal net neutrality, something AT&T has been begging for for years now? Also, why did Cohen stop receiving donations after net neutrality was repealed?

Well thanks for speaking for me but that is not the point of this thread.

I have said in all of these posts about Cohen I dont mind that he is being investigated.

I have said for months now if Trump or any people connected to him committed crimes, they should be held accountable.

The point of the thread is to show that for many people, including people that matter like the FBI and the MSM, they rightfully want trump connected people investigated and held accountable for these crimes, but did not feel that way with Hillary.

Of course he didn't. Come on.

One other point here - given the information you presented in the OP you have to wonder who solicited who with the Russian Oligarch / Cohen case... seems odd that a Clinton pal would be paying Cohen after the election. Stinks of some shady Dems trying to leave breadcrumbs to prop up their fake Russian collusion narrative.

Wouldn't it be the other way round? Accusations (and far more coincidences and money trails) were first made against the Clintons. So why do the left have to engage in this whataboutism nonsense just because they can't shake off the Clinton crimes?
