This is the best I have felt since the Regan years. Decisions actually make sense and tend to be in the best interest of Americans for the first time in a long time.

Some of it I think has to do with how the right-wing echo chamber has stopping faking alarm over things like the economy.

Case in point: yesterday, DBCowby authored a thread about how the unemployment numbers are bull#. This is something you don't hear from Trump supporters typically which is surprising because the unemployment figure that is being touted by this administration (U3) is the same that was constantly called "fake" when Obama was in office to dismiss the drop in unemployment. Try Googling ATS for "real unemployment" (site:www.abovetopsecret.com +"real unemployment") and you'll find years of right-wingers complaining that the employment situation was really much worse than the Obama admin (actually the BLS but whatever) was letting on.

This one is great because it has a quote from Trump himself:

Trump puts true US unemployment rate at 20 percent

Presumptive US Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump has challenged President Barack Obama’s claim regarding the country’s unemployment rate of five percent. "We have tremendous deficits. Don't believe the 5 percent. The real [unemployment] number is 20 percent," Trump said

Go ahead and take a peek. When Obama left office, the U3 figure was 4.8% and dropping. When he entered office it was 7.8% and rising (it peaked at 10% at the height of the GR). It now stands at 3.9% and all of a sudden the U3 figure is fine with the same people who were claiming that same figure at 5% was masking 20%+ unemployment... and the destruction of America.

There's been an additional .9% drop in unemployment in a continuing trend and Trump and his supporters are acting like he saved us from the brink of destruction and somehow turned things around. If looking at the EXACT same figure and concluding that it means completely different things depending on who was President isn't cognitive dissonance, I don't know what it is.

When was the last time you heard a Trump supporter freaking out over deficit spending and the national debt? Years of Chicken Little conservatives running around screeching about how the sky was falling.

The Republicans cut taxes. Trump has promised a big fat trillion dollar infrastructure plan. We're dumping billions and billions into the military industrial complex. This idiot's blabbering about a "Space Force." Meanwhile, the Treasury borrowed $488 billion in the first quarter of this year.

That's the most since 2008.

Throughout the Obama administration the national debt hung heavy in the right-wing echo chamber, like a choking cloud of deadly gas that was killing America... thanks to Obama the Destroyer of America. Now? What debt? What deficit? What are these strange D words? Oh wait, I have another one: dissonance as in cognitive dissonance.

Or maybe we should talk about "Draining the Swamp" and how that's *actually* working out?

as a statistician, im all too familiar with how figures don't lie, but liars can figure.

we get economy and jobs numbers spit at us while being told its raining.

But that, and "the right wing echo chamber", are not behind that. The left wing echo chamber did the same with Obama. The partisanship is real.

Thing is: that is only about 10% off either side. the 80% in the middle are far, far more moderate in their views, they aren't tied to a party, and see through a majority of the BS when they actually look.

57% of Americans are in for a painful surprise in a few years.

With all the bank restrictions being removed we will be sliding back into a recession.

Oh and I recently heard that sub prime lending is back.

Won't be long now.

The media cannot throw around accusations and unproven conspiracy theories as easily as people do anonymously on the internet. They can be held liable for what they say.

Ummm, are you serious here??? Where have you been the last 2 years???

Unless its against someone they don't like...then its innuendo after innuendo. They are out for their owners agenda and to pretend otherwise is pretty silly as its obvious to anyone who wants to see it. I mean look at trump...they sure throw conspiracy theories around that from what I've seen half the time must be retracted...however at that point the damage is done and the majority of Americans are stupid and lazy so they just remember that blurb they heard in the news and never even realize a week later the story was retracted.

It's not only these "conspiracy" theories, it's the daily barrage of BS that comes from the Liberal media. Americans are beginning to realize that the left has been doing EVERYTHING in their power to tank Trump's Presidency, right from the get-go. Americans are't "stupid and lazy", they're just "sick and tired" of the anti-Trump rhetoric heard on the news. Americans care more about accomplishments.

The mainstream media continues to bash President Trump regardless of his accomplishments.

The MRC, which bills itself as America’s leading media watchdog in documenting, exposing and neutralizing liberal media bias, examined 1,065 network evening news stories about President Trump and top members of his administration that aired through April 30 – which resulted in 1,774 minutes of total airtime.

The MRC studied all evening newscasts on the big three networks from January 1 through April 30 and found that 90 percent of comments about Trump during that time were deemed negative.

The U3 is a BS number. It would be nice if everyone would agree and revise the system to report the real number of unemployed.

But 4.8 to 3.9 is an 18.7% improvement in less than a year and a half. That's still significant even if we don't like what is being counted.

There may be some truth to that, but I do not see much difference between what "they" say and what many people here say.

They are out for their owners agenda and to pretend otherwise is pretty silly as its obvious to anyone who wants to see it.

Of course they are. That is freedom of the press. They get to say what the man who owns that particular outlet tells them to.

You may not like that freedom, but they have it just the same.

I mean look at trump...they sure throw conspiracy theories around that from what I've seen half the time must be retracted...

They do throw around conspiracy theories, but just not as easily as the public does. As I said.

however at that point the damage is done and the majority of Americans are stupid and lazy so they just remember that blurb they heard in the news and never even realize a week later the story was retracted.

That goes without saying and it happens from both sides of the political spectrum and their respective media outlets. Look how many people believe we gave $400 million to Iran of our money. Look how many people believe Comey lied to the American people. Look how many people believe Clinton is a murderer. Look how many people believe "Q" is telling us the god's truth.

People are stupid and lazy. The problem is, those that claim to be enlightened and "in-the-know" are just as stupid and lazy.

I am a trump supporter.

I have commented on the Unemployment numbers being fake.

I have also called out the insane deficit spending and the increase in the debt.

In fact, I have flat out said that the republicans (not just trump) are liars when it comes to wanting to cut the deficit. Although I agree with lowering taxes, if entitlements arent lowered with them, then its worthless as it increases the debt.

And as you know, I have called trump out on many tings such as having swamp like people in his admin, bombing syria, the way he tweets and talks, etc.

Having said that, I think he is doing a better job than Obama,.

But I am not dumb, he has done many things I dont like, and is far from perfect.

Ya. Turns out there was some bite to that one.

Not saying there was collusion, but people around him sure put themselves in precarious positions that made it perfectly reasonable to question what the hell they were doing.

That is why were are in the position we are in today.

To be fair, Obama DID come into office right after the 2008 meltdown.

Nevertheless, the spineless puppet did nothing but adhere to his handlers every whims, thus creating bs service jobs and a welfare state that rivaled the Reagan era, if not surpassing said era.

Seems to make some people really happy. No wonder the country is doing better.

Half of us are happy with more of our money and being left alone.

The other half are happy to hate.

Win/win

CNN is trying their level best to keep Americans from seeing how this country is getting better/stronger all the time.

Last night, they kept the lid on how serious the New York Attorney General's crimes are, by saying Schneiderman allegedly EMOTIONALLY abused some women. (This was Don Lemon and his panel)

They've also kept the lid on the biggest April govt. surplus on record - driven by increased tax income (wage growth).

So far trump has not sunk the ship. Everything was still set to go up in 2017, as it had the past years before 2017, quite a bit. Also Unemployment was much better in 2017, than the years before it. As all of these things were already VASTLY improved under Obama, that is a fact.

The things trump does now will show what impact he will have on the U.S. the next 3 years. If he makes it that long. He is driving the Deficit up, which he said he would not due.

You've got strange facts.

2008 (Bush): 5.0
2009 (BO): 7.8
2010: 9.0
2011: 9.1
2012: 8.3
2013: 8.0
2014: 6.6
2015: 5.7
2016: 4.9
2017(Trump): 4.8
2018ytd: 4.1

Can't deny Obama inherited a pile of steaming poop that helped tank his numbers, but not a single one of those figures was VASTLY improved over... Well, whatever you were attempting to compare it to.

Do you not consider a drop from 9.1 at it's high to 4.9 at it's low when he left office to be a significant improvement?

CNN poll. pfft.

If they say 57% then the number is probably 87%.

Wanna see this % go up?? have him clean his house of Nazi influence, like booting Jr Goebbels from his team, really come out and say in Trump fashion fk those guys for real and act on it, get rid of his anti science anti environment bias , who knows he may even win me over...I'm not at all interested in his sexcapades , and as far as collusion goes I have no problem waiting for Muller's final results.

I'll make a call, see what I can do.

I, like the majority of people on the planet, care about what affects me and my family.

Period.

If things are going well for me and my family, then I am happy.

So far, the only thing Trump has done is lower my taxes.

Really. That is it.

He hasn't made me pay into Obamacare, he hasn't pushed legislation to remove my guns, he hasn't signed anything that would raise my taxes, I still have the right to free expression.

So what's not to like? His hair? His twitter?

Sounds to me that he's doing okay on foreign policy also.

*shrugs*

If you want to hate the man, go for it. Scream loud and proud.

I'll just walk around you on my way to the bar and shake my head.

Kick his soap box as you walk by. Good for a chuckle.

I love this anti science BS appeal to authority fallacy.

Does spyder think psychology is not science? Trump uses that a lot, DUH.

Is economics not science?

Even the Amish go to school.

They might not use a lot of tech but they ain't cavemen.

Love the nazi ref too. Ask Manafort and Cohen how the gestapo tactics worked out for them at 3am.

You seem to be setting a high bar for Trump. Which is a good start.

Just don't bet the farm on Mueller.

Sorry to put this here under your post, just trying to add on his ignorant post.
