Thats very true. NDA's are often used to protect government secrets.
Which would be fine, if any government could be trusted to only keep secrets which pertain to national security, and would, as a matter of honour,
refrain from keeping secret the merely embarrassing or potentially career ending material that has kept soldiers, intelligence agency members, and
Presidents from the consequences of their criminal behaviour for decades.
As it is however, I personally think that in a vast number of cases, NDA's are keeping secret what ought to be broadly known, from the real story
behind waste spills, to the facts surrounding intelligence agency involvement in terror activities abroad, to the nature of the forces ranged against
people powered politics, rather than money powered.
With that in mind, NDA's are deeply suspect.
