Nor a moral one either. Right? Why lie about it though? Habit?
There is no legal mandate to ever tell the media anything, truth or otherwise.
I don't think Avenatti was talking about Trump's public lies, though there are many of them. He's smarter than that.

I put this in another thread about Cohen 'flipping' and I think maybe some of you should do a quick search as to who he is 'tied' to. What is funnier is no one brings up the certain ties in the media it is just Stormy Daniels.
Russian ties he has...you do not accumulate that many medallions being a nice guy.

I'm not posting this for the sake of this admission, purely because I've not veered from a "he screwed a whore 12 years ago, who cares?" position on the topic.
But this is not the first time the porn actress has sat in the eye of a political storm. In 2009, Daniels actively explored running for a U.S. Senate seat in her home state of Louisiana. It was an example of a political stunt morphing into an actual possibility, as Daniels showed voters she was an intelligent and serious campaigner with real policy ideas.
“I have never said that I’m the best person for the job. I absolutely am not,” Daniels told a Baton Rouge TV station at the time. “I just think I’m a better choice than the senator they already have.”
Ultimately Daniels (born Stephanie Clifford) formed an exploratory committee but did not file as a candidate. But her year informally in the race shook up the traditional notions of who was fit for politics — the very same notions Trump’s candidacy later upset.

Politicians lie continuously, when they tell the truth, that is when you need to be concerned.
The Stormy daniels deal, I do not trust her lawyer at all, and she states it was an affair and consensual. No law against that.

Actually, as a resident of NY state there is a law against it.Hell, we had 2 consecutive governors resign over their extramarital infidelities, Elliot Spitzer (and I was glad to see the arrogant hypocrite go) and subsequently, his former Lt. Governor, David Patterson. Spitzer, who was notorious for coming down on organized crime and prostitution was caught having relations with s whole bevy of hookers and oatterson has several affairs prior to his ascendency to the Governors Mansion.
Section 255.17 of the state penal law states, “A person is guilty of adultery when he engages in sexual intercourse with another person at a time when he has a living spouse, or the other person has a living spouse. Adultery is a class B misdemeanor.” A class B misdemeanor is punishable by up to 90 days in jail or a $500 fine.
