Once again..Mueller must PROVE payments were structured to get around laws. AND HE MUST convince 67 senators of this. Unless he offers real proof that aint happening Perry Mason

Cohen will rat out Trump and tell Mueller that Trump told him to lie to the FBI about the payments. There's your illegal act.

It's not about the payment per se, it's the lying about it to the feds.

Look at all the pretty stars lined-up above your post. And yet your post contains not a shred of any of the real issues, and serves as nothing more than a "So a president nailed a porn star 12 years ago with a new wife and newborn at home, paid her at the time, so what? Happens all the time ..." Except it doesn't, other than with this president.

How emotional.

Yeah probably does all the time, in Hollywood.

Trump has been heavily financially involved with Russia for over a decade. The odds that he isn't compromised by the Kremlin are extremely low. One doesn't do business with the Russian mob and "come out ahead." That is, unless one has something to offer, such as "I won't enforce economic sanctions against Russia, nor ever cross Putin ..."

One thing about that is that you need proof.

It is noteworthy that it doesn't bother many Trump supporters that the president on a weekly basis proves he lies like most people smile, yet you'll believe him on the most important stuff. "There's no collusion with Russia" - "I had no knowledge of the payment" - "I never had sex with Daniels" - Two of those are an absolute lie. Many Trump supporters don't care that he lies, will excuse absolutely everything, including the obvious lies, but then go to hysterical extremes in concocting some bizarre conspiracy theory as to how Clinton and Obama and Soros, and Lynch, and Stark, and whomever, all conspired (in an election everyone thought Hillary would win) to frame Trump - when the much more plausible answer is that Trump is simply - once again - lying.

That was funny. From what we are seeing lately, there is a conspiracy.

Since there are no charges of a non existent crime brought against anyone.

Just some old parking tickets.

Anyway, another day, another proven lie by a president who does nothing but lie. Why Melania, who seems like a good person, hasn't left Trump by now is totally beyond me. How much humiliation can a dignified woman like her take?

Coz she's strong and knows he's the real deal?

Avenatti - the man whom you deride as knowing less than you about the law, is surely referencing lies the president told to officials regarding the payment, including officials in Delaware, where the LLC might've been set-up, whether Trump told Cohen to lie to the FBI about where the payment came from (conspiring to defraud the government, campaign finance law violations, and possible witness tampering) - THOSE are the lies that implicate the law, and those are the instances that Avenatti would have far more information about than you. He is most assuredly NOT stating that Trump telling reporters he knew nothing of it on AF1 is a felony.

Ya right, the guy is an ambulance chaser.

Bragging about getting a job with PNN when this is over.

The crimes committed have been by the Govt. Not the Trump admin.

But, despite your "nothing Trump does bothers me" approach, you are incorrect as to why this is news. It is not news because Trump used a porn star like a piece of meat, we all know that's his M.O. you people have accepted it as "fine" so long as he continues to piss of liberals. You've made your peace with it.

Yeah, so what?

In order:

It doesn't bother you that Trump will screw anything that agrees to lay him, especially when money is to be made, fine.

Proof- His own friggin' kid bragging that they get most of the money they need for financing out of Russia, and the fact that a Russian oligarch paid 2x the assessed value of this Florida property - a common practice among people wanting to launder "too much cash." My statement was he's "been involved" with Russian oligarchs for a decade - that would be sufficient "proof" for this purpose, Mueller will have much much more, as would the tax returns, which we haven't seen, for a reason.

Melania: Evidently has a strong stomach, and knows her "husband" is the "real deal" serial sport-sex star. Hey, maybe she's in it for the money, too. I have always liked Melania, I have thought she's a strong independent woman who handles herself well. I am not some person who must hate everything associated with Trump, unlike many of the Obama opposition that had to spread it to his wife. But, I suppose she's just in it for the money. Not sure what you're referring to as "the real deal" - "real deal" "men" in my area of the world don't cheat on their wives, tell the truth, treat women well, but that's just me.

There are no charges because the investigation isn't over yet, no matter how many times Trump tells us there is no collusion, it doesn't make it true. I don't know Trump's involvement with Russia, nor do you. I can't say he had a deal with Russia, and you can't say that he didn't. I can point to the fact that he's done exactly nothing to "offend" Russia in office, including refusing to enforce sanctions, and that makes someone's "common sense" meter pop a little.

And we end where Trumpers always end, it's all the government out to get Trump, they are the ones committing crimes, despite the fact that multiple judges have signed off on all the warrants, that Mueller is as straight an arrow as America possesses, that several Trump associates can't speak to the FBI without lying and thus getting themselves charged, and Cohen taking the 5th, it is the government that is the criminal enterprise.

It has to be, right?

Because we know Trump can do no wrong.

When he bragged he could go out and shoot someone in Times Square and his supporters would love him more, he was referring to you. Unbeknownst to you, he was mocking you. Saying he could do literally anything and you'd support him. It is noteworthy, because for one moment in time, he told the truth.

I mentioned that, too.

But, structuring payment plans around the precise purpose of avoiding reporting requirements with respect to either the IRS or the FEC would also suffice.

No one, I repeat, no one voted for Trump based on his morality and good looks.

Most voters just didn't want Hillary.

Trump's immorality had been in the tabloids for more than 20 years. He's a pig. This is not news - nor against the law.

He lied to the press-as he has about everything-except his sick love of Ivanka-so, I'd rather he just keep lying-as long as he continues to do what's best for the country after years of degradation from previous administrations-who lied, too, by the way.

Weak dollar. An administration with 80% of the cabinet criminals. We can do far better. We have done far better.

Hopefully Trump will resign and spare us the impeachment.

He'll continue to spew his hate and contempt for anyone in his way. Sound familiar? Who has he done business with all his life?

He's in deep with all the criminals and knows where all the bodies are buried and who and how they were buried. And the voters thought he was different than Hillary?

He's good. I'll grant him that. His entire "presidency" will be pulling skeletons out of his yuge closet.

There is no legal mandate to ever tell the media anything, truth or otherwise.
Nor a moral one either. Right? Why lie about it though? Habit?

I don't think Avenatti was talking about Trump's public lies, though there are many of them. He's smarter than that.

He banged a porn star. Cool by me, but not everyone.

If you could hide that very personal part of your life, you would, especially if youre a famous celebrity and businessman. He could and did.

I have no problem with that.

Why dont you post that list of everyone youve slept with? No morals?

Most people I have talked to do give a damn about the sex but the possible use of campaign funds before the election to hide it.

But it doesn't make them illegal either. Mueller has to PROVE that A. An illegal act was commited
B. Trump was aware of it and complicit in it

It does make them illegal or better said worthy of investigation if it was in small installments, as for complicit in it, if Trump reimbursed hush money via fraudulent means as not to tip anyone off, it would be a lot bigger than Mueller, it would lmo be game over for Trump.

A lot of people are happy Rudy has spilled the beans in some ways like it's a big plan, Rudy has made many gaffes over the years and Trump supporters should hope this isn't one of them.

Correct, but also they are not legal just because they are under $10000. Even if they were over $10000 Mueller would still have to prove they were fraudulent.

Transactions over $10000 are just auto-reported that doesnt mean they are illegal.

I put this in another thread about Cohen 'flipping' and I think maybe some of you should do a quick search as to who he is 'tied' to. What is funnier is no one brings up the certain ties in the media it is just Stormy Daniels.

Russian ties he has...you do not accumulate that many medallions being a nice guy.

And Cohen was on "retainer".

Then Trump is back to being a felon again. The money must be designated as payback for the payoff.

So now that we know for sure that Trump has unprotected sex with porn stars, are we really to believe that he is a germophobe? Hardly! Thus the pee tape is looking more likely all the time. No wonder Trump is Putin's little bitch. The Kompromat is total.

Trump saying that he can’t help kissing beautiful women on the lips, shows he is not a germaphobe

Let's see... what do we have so far?

Several years ago, long before Trump ever thought seriously about becoming President, he got a chance to hook up with Stormy Daniels, a porn star. He took it. Fast forward to the election and the same Stormy Daniels shows up at Cohen's office and says she's going to go public with the story. Cohen pays her $130,000 for her signature on a Non-Disclosure Agreement.

Nothing illegal there in any way. Cohen acted as any lawyer on retainer would. Immoral? Well, one could say Trump was immoral for cheating on his wife, but one could also say Daniels was immoral for demanding extortion money days before an election.

Now, several months after the election, while Trump is President, Daniels sues him because her lawyer apparently says she was somehow duped in signing the NDA. In the process, the story hits the media, which is the exact opposite of what she agreed to and accepted payment for.

Nothing criminal there either, but it would appear she is in non-compliance with the NDA, and she should be held liable for the damages specified in the contract she signed.

Trump in response to a question from the media about the payments, responded that he wasn't aware of the details and they would need to ask Cohen. Guilliani tonight stated that Trump repaid Cohen out of his personal funds.

Nothing illegal there either. It is quite possible that Cohen made the agreement alone, with a blanket understanding from his client, Trump, that he would be reimbursed for necessary expenses. After all, this is certainly not the first time some woman has decided to blackmail a rich guy for consensual sex.

It is also quite possible that Trump knew nothing of the details of the NDA and payoff. He did not need to be involved since his attorney executed it. All he likely did was pay the bill when it came to him, although I can see him quickly asking "What's this $130k for?" as he wrote out the check.

So nothing illegal has happened on Trump's part. Consensual sex is not illegal. Having an attorney on retainer is not illegal. Countering a blackmail threat with a payoff is not illegal. Requiring an NDA in such a case is not illegal. Reimbursing an attorney for expenses is not illegal.

Daniels, however, might be looking at civil charges for violating the NDA.

Now, so far I have heard people claiming on this site that the NDA was illegal... that the NDA was void because Trump himself didn't sign it... that Cohen was acting illegally because he paid the money instead of Trump... that Trump had paid the money out of campaign funds... that Trump broke the law by lying to reporters... not a one of those allegations is even remotely true. NDAs are common documents meant to keep information out of the public eye and are used quite regularly. Michael Cohen did not need anyone's permission to execute an NDA with Daniels if he signed it and paid the funds himself. Cohen has as much right to execute an NDA as Trump, and with prior agreement has the right to do so on Trump's behalf without prior additional approval. Guilianni stated that the funds came out of Trump's private finances, which is quite likely since he makes so much, and no evidence whatsoever has been presented otherwise. No one is under oath when speaking to reporters and can say whatever they want (including nothing).

So what could motivate Daniels to violate the NDA? She obviously likes to blackmail or she wouldn't have demanded the payoff in the first place. Is there more money at stake? And if there is, it has to be enough to pay her lawyer, since she's paying him... or is she?

I believe the DNC is paying her lawyer, and paying Daniels as well to cover the risks she is taking financially by violating the NDA. This is nothing more than another attempt at a 'gotcha' by the same old powers using the same old M.O. I saw it up close with Roy Moore, I have seen it several times in my life with other public figures, and I am seeing it now. Don't go handing me a mountain oyster and claiming it's seafood. This is just another tired old attempt to use sex to destroy a life, by the same old people who have made a science out of the politics of destruction.

And yes, that means her lawyer is a bunch of swamp scum that is in desperate need of skimming.
