I'm not posting this for the sake of this admission, purely because I've not veered from a "he screwed a whore 12 years ago, who cares?" position on the topic. I am posting this, however, to draw attention to the absolute self aggrandizing jackass tabloid chaser Stormy Daniels hired as her attorney. Alongside the self important, arrogance of the American media.

Trump told reporters several weeks ago that he didn't know about the $130,000 payment to Daniels as part of a nondisclosure agreement she signed days before the 2016 presidential election.

Asked aboard Air Force One whether he knew about the payment, Trump said flatly: "No." Trump also said he didn't know why Cohen had made the payment or where he got the money.

Daniels' lawyer's comment...

Daniels' lawyer, Michael Avenatti, called the comment "a stunning revelation."

"Mr. Trump evidently has participated in a felony and there must be serious consequences for his conduct and his lies and deception to the American people," he said.

WHAT? He did what now? A felony? My God, what a legally clueless arsehole you are, sir. Some half-a-hey-how-you-doin reporter aboard Air Force One is not a judge, Member of Congress, or Special Counsel. There is no legal mandate to ever tell the media anything, truth or otherwise. If I wanted to call up the local newspaper tomorrow and fabricate a story about monkeys flying out of my hind end, it's 100% on them if they're desperate and stupid enough to print it as truth.

What arrogance! This imbecile lawyer is the reason the media in the USA consider themselves to be gods, above reproach, somehow authorized to pick and choose what they report and spin it in a way to ensure it is viewed as either truth or fiction depending on their whims, but this idjit thinks it's a felony to off handedly dismiss any question one of their member's asks with less than a truthful, serious answer? Oh God, everything wrong with the legal profession and the US media rolled up in the same ZigZag paper right there.

Nor a moral one either. Right? Why lie about it though? Habit?

I don't think Avenatti was talking about Trump's public lies, though there are many of them. He's smarter than that.

This exonerates Cohen from any charges of using campaign $ illegally.

And I agree Stormy's lawyer is a total hack.

The money was probably billed as "fees" for "services"

😎

And Cohen was on "retainer".

Heh, it also provides another avenue into Trump's finances.

"Prove you paid him, Donald."

Good job, Rudy.

As I understood it, this was paid from a retainer.
Perfectly legal, but the media loves a bone.

Avenatti is nothing more than a thug.

Okay.

*shrug*

He paid a porn star some cash to shut her up about something that happened a decade ago.

Blackmailing bitch.

Cheating husband.

I still would have voted for him, and in 2020 I'll probably vote for him again unless someone better runs.

No, there is no moral mandate to be honest or forthright with a hostile, lying media. Why would there be? It would be incredibly stupid to even consider.

As for Avenatti's intelligence, you're going to have to source that one, because I've not seen any indication he's much beyond Gloria Allred with a penis.

Ha! That's the closest thing to the truth sans your prez candidate voting preference.*

He paid a porn star so that you, and the rest of us, wouldn't hear about something from his past. He paid to hide something about himself from us. This is just one thing, and one thing I don't much care about.

The hiding, lying, and paying large sums of money to do so...I DO care about.

How can you vote for that?

Politicians lie continuously, when they tell the truth, that is when you need to be concerned.

The Stormy daniels deal, I do not trust her lawyer at all, and she states it was an affair and consensual. No law against that. If his wife wants to leave him for something he did twelve years ago, that is her business. I think Stormy and her lawyer should be brought up on charges of blasphemy against the president. I think she should be charged with blackmail too. And her lawyer an accomplice.

Why would anyone in their right mind side with stormy and her lawyer, they are the worst of the worst. I have nothing against porn stars or strippers, many of them are probably good people, she is not a good person anymore, corrupted by the lawyer and the media. Someone convinced her to do this for fame and fortune, she will wind up going down in history negatively and broke beyond belief.

Thanks for demonstrating that you care more about the "arrogance" of some "whore's" attorney than you do about the fact that once more, the President of the United States flat lied, Team Trump lied and the lie was about some shady #. And once more, under pressure, they were forced to admit that it was a lie and meanwhile they've questioned the credibility and integrity of others in the process.

Not surprisingly, you don't care. Instead, you'd like to talk about what everyone — hell, anyone else — did.

At this point, it's hard for even me to care because the exact pattern has played out more times than I can readily count in the last year. It's just a non-stop stream of mind numbing bull#.

I wonder what else will come out that they're afraid might be found in what was recovered from Cohen.

Easy.

I'm voting for the guy who would screw me over less than the other person.

It's just funny that a guy so adept at screwing would do so little to the American people.

hahahahahahaha

If Trump lowered my taxes more, didn't take away my rights, ended wars, then he could engage in carnal relations with dead gay alligators.

I wouldn't give a flying ####

Yup, he sure did. Glad he did so, too. My wallet thanks him on every payday, my brain thanks him everytime I think of being out from the noose of the Paris Accords, and my smile thanks him as I watch previously presumed to be sane people lose their freaking minds and make asses of themselves because they didn't get their way on election day.

Guess what? Every elected official has some trail of paid hush money in their past. As long as it wasn't crime that was being covered up (which this wasn't) and as long as tax payer dollars weren't used (which these weren't), it's a non issue.
