Mueller is the boss. Unless he thinks he can get her here and under oath (he won't) a phone interview is as good as it will get.

He can simply indict her and that looks likely.

Russian Lawyer Who Met With Trump Team Admits She Was a Kremlin Agent

The admission came after emails surfaced showing Veselnitskaya working closely with Russian legal authorities. In an interview with NBC News that aired Friday, Veselnitskaya said “I am a lawyer and I am an informant,” and that she has been communicating with Russia’s prosecutor general, Yuri Y. Chaika, since 2013.

According to the New York Times, Veselnitskaya’s initial claims to have acted independently were previously undermined when her talking points for the Trump campaign meeting appeared to originate with Chaika

That is probably what he'll do becuase it would make it look like he tried without actually trying. If he indicts her, she never speaks to him. That's what he would like to have happen. Or he can call her, get her version of events, notate them and move on. But what if she says something he doesn't want to hear???

BTW - Think about this.

Trumps BFF Aras Agalarov who was responsible for setting up the Miss USA Pageant in 2013 in Russia for Trump.

Arranged a meeting with a Russian Agent working directly for Russia's Chief Prosecutor and Trump Jr.

The Talking Points for the meeting were literally authored by Russia's Chief Prosecutor.

Agalarov, Trump's BFF and orchestrator of the Miss Universe Pageant, works for the Kremlin

Veselnitskaya, of course, might have made the claim as part of a further Kremlin attempt to sow chaos in the U.S. political system.

There's something going on that's more complicated than any of us are aware of. I think President Trump will one day say, "yeah, I met with the special counsel last Saturday evening". It surprised the hell out of the media when Jeff Sessions said that last month.

He has talked to everyone in that meeting he needs to, plus if she was a known agent (and she now admits she is) then it's likely they have NSA communications between her and the kremlin.

If she wants to testify, she can come to the states and explain her story. Mueller will meet her at JFK.

She is saying plenty in interviews.

Calling her up is dumb and pointless. She can say whatever she likes from across the ocean.

She can dispute the indictment when it comes. Mueller will have the testimony from a half dozen people in that meeting plus intelligence surveillance of her communications with the Kremlin.

No doubt she was given the OK to disclose it by the Kremlin, but that too is an admission she works for the Kremlin.

Either way, Donny had a meeting with a direct agent of the Kremlin with an offer of help for the campaign.

They told Donny that up front.

It doesn't look good for JR.

Did anyone on Hillary or Obama's team work with Russians to hurt Candidate/Prez-elect/Prez TRUMP?

LOL don't get mad that mueller is cutting corners. He knows there is no there, there. A call would not be pointless. You can't lie to investigators, even if you're not under oath. You can lie to the media, you can lie in interviews.

Also, if she's a kremlin agent, why did preet bharara personally see to it that she was let into the country??? This spider web goes a lot deeper than your political hopes and dreams of getting trump.

ETA: And by the same token I guess a trump interview would be pointless, too, right? I mean we already know they were surveilling him and his team and he says plenty on twitter and in interviews.

"a direct agent of the kremlin" eh....really....

This revelation means it was the Obama Justice Department that enabled the newest and most intriguing figure in the Russia-Trump investigation to enter the country without a visa.

hmm really...

The Moscow lawyer had been turned down for a visa to enter the U.S. lawfully but then was granted special immigration parole by then-Attorney General Loretta Lynch for the limited purpose of helping a company owned by Russian businessman Denis Katsyv, her client, defend itself against a Justice Department asset forfeiture case in federal court in New York City.

holy smokes Loretta Lynch herself signed off on this???? for " a direct agent of the Kremlin "???

Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) has demanded the U.S. government provide him all records on how Veselnitskaya entered and traveled in the U.S., a request that could shed additional light on her activities.

Gee...who would provide those??? Perhaps Rod Rosenstein???

The sources also described their interactions with Veselnitskaya in the same way that Trump Jr. did. They claimed not to know who she worked for or what her motives were.

So mueller is going to go after all the other people she met with in the usa as well ....right...equal justice under the law and all...you know since she was "a direct agent of the kremlin"?

go get your shinebox...

I am neither mad, nor is Mueller cutting any corners.

A call would not be pointless.

That's what I said.

Also, if she's a kremlin agent,

No "if". She has admitted she is a Kremlin Agent. They have emails showing her correspondence with Russia's "Crown Prosecutor" and emails showing that the Crown Prosecutor sent the talking points to her for the meeting.

why did preet bharara personally see to it that she was let into the country???

He didn't? Are you confused or lying?

Bharara’s office said no. In a letter to Prevezon’s U.S. lawyers, prosecutors said such paroles aren’t appropriate for foreign lawyers asking to help U.S. counsel prepare for appellate arguments or to attend appellate proceedings. “Since neither Katsyv nor Veselnitskaya are required to appear as witnesses in person at this stage of proceedings, we do not believe that immigration parole is appropriate,”

And by the same token I guess a trump interview would be pointless, too, right?

Trump is not a target. He is a subject and subjects are interviewed.

That could change though, whichever way the evidence goes.

Your source seems to Contradict itself?

If Loretta Lynch singed off on her Visa Parole why is Senator Grassley asking for documents explaining how she entered the country?

According to my AP Link she first requested Visa Parole from the NY AG so she could be part of her Russian Clients trial and the NY AG denied it (Preet Bahara).

She then applied to the State Department and got the Visa Parole.

It was just stated on Fox News.

Here's more evidence that obsessed Mueller (aka Captain Ahab), is working to set a Trump trap.

That's a good thing, then it can go to the SCOTUS and get smashed into the dirt.
