A 2.6 magnitude earthquake was recorded close to Taqsees, Hama, Syria at 10:40 PM local time (3:40 NY time) Sunday, at the same time Syrian TV reported several explosions in the same area.

Apparently, reports are that Israel hit the military base at Jabal al-Bukhut 47, some 10 miles South-east of Hama.

Video can be found Here at the source article

Pretty decent sized explosion to register with the European EQ registers.

Not much else to say at this point.

This source is claiming 'there might have been a tactical nuke used', tho I'm not sure how legit the claims are, it is definetly a lot more dire of an article than others I am seeing.
Hal Turner Radio Show

At around 3:40 PM Eastern US time, an utterly MASSIVE explosion took place at an Iranian base inside Syria. The photo above was taken from 5 kilometers (about 3 MILES) away, and well-into the explosion which "seemed to linger." There are now widespread BUT UNCORROBORATED rumors Israel used a Tactical Nuclear Bomb against the Iranian base.

Rather crazy, as this article also claims Russia is going to directly go up against Israel.

A lot of unconfirmed, I can't find else-where comments, so far.

the explosion looks like an ammunition warehouse or something with all the sparkling bits going all over the place.

Yes, reports are that an ammo dump was hit.

Is why I'm kind'a dubious about the whole tac-nuke thing other sites are pushing.

IRANIAN assets in Syria were hit 5 hours ago by rockets from jets. Maybe that was to bring all Iranian soldiers into the base... where a MOAB was used to finish them off. Good strategy.

a tactical nuke woukd be obvious if used and reported far more widely. probably just a weapons depot that went kablooie with some help.

Indeed!

Excellent strategy, scary quick end too.

MOABs are a scary big ordinance. #shiver

Oh, I very much agree.

That's why I'm very seriously doubting the claim.

The explosion doesn't look right for that type of ordinance, at least if all the other 'nuke' explosion clouds are to be believed.

That in and of itself could be a conspiracy, too, maybe..

Big question is:

Will Russia be going after Israel directly?

Keep in mind, we have a mutual aid agreement with Israel.

a reply to: Cygnis

Is not mutual aid only if they are attacked without provoking such attack?

Israel should not be allowed to get away with this

All the sparklies give it away.

Not even a particularly large one. Anyone remember this one?

Israel has made multiple strikes against Syrian/Iranian targets in Syria. Why woule the Russians respond differently this time? The Russians and Israel get along fairly well. They're both pragmatists.

Considering Iran is moving assets into Syria to make attacks on Israel, and Israel only hit a military target, I see no such reason as you do.

Iran has threatened Israel, as well as has Hezbollah, imo they are only defending themselves.
