Full title is : World’s biggest active geyser erupts at Yellowstone National Park for third time in weeks

I do not know if there is anything more than just an eruption of a geyser at Yellowstone which has been dormant for the last three years. . With some of the rumors about Yellowstone I thought I would post this for those who are interested. Click link to watch video kinda impressive..

The world’s largest active geyser has erupted for the third time in less than six weeks.

Steamboat Geyser, in Yellowstone National Park, erupted at around 6.30am local time on Friday morning, geologists said.

The eruption is the latest event in a rare period of activity at the geyser this year, following similar water discharges on March 15 and April 19 this year.

Before this year, Steamboat had not erupted since September 2014.

The US Geological Survey said all events so far in 2018 had been smaller than recent major activity observed in 2013 and 2014.

That is comforting, no ?

DOOM PORN.

GET YOUR DOOM PORN RIGHT HERE.

Having said that, when it does go ... I mean the whole lot ... big bang ... and it will go!

Just remember, one day it will go boom. It could be tonight, tomorrow or in a thousand years ... but it will.

Playing with certainties is very relaxing.

(I am living about as far away as one could get. Thankfully. Now, where are those killer spiders?)

Their is a reason it has the most active geothermal events of any park on the planet..

So what do you think - would it be safer to live east of the caldera or west of it when it goes, considering the direction of the jet stream?

Actually the venting of steam and all the earth quakes are a form of pressure release. When the Geysers stop spewing and the earthquakes stop then the pressure will build until something pops.. So of all the super volcanoes that are known on the earth Yellowstone is pretty far down on the popping list !! youtu.be...
